NEW YEAR, NEW ME???? There was nothing wrong with the OLD ME, at least not in my opinion. I have diligently been searching for a new opportunity for employment, ANY employment, and I am frustrated with the lack of communication from 90% of the so-called recruiters who post job opportunities that I have submitted a application. I have been consulting for over 25 years as a functional Financails PeopleSoft resource. No managerial roles, all team player/module lead jobs, some contract-based, others as an employee of major consulting firms (PwC, Oracle, Deloitte to name a few). At this point in my life, I'm willing to accept any role at all where my skills as an accountant or a consultant can be leveraged. Heck, I'll accept a data entry role if it means I can collect a regular paycheck. The only problem is, when I apply for "clerical" roles, I'm told I'm over-qualified. OK, but if I'm willing to do thework, why not take advantage of the experience? I'm not greedy, I honestly don't care if the hourly rate is $25 or $125 per hour (NGL, I don't know that I'm worth $125 per hour, but it's a nice thought). My main objective is to keep these idle hands busy, even if it's part time. I'm not looking to retire completely EVER, and being unemployed for the past two years has proven that. I don't know what to do with myself if I'm not focused on having/finding a job.
For anyone who has read this far, thank you for listening. If anyone reading this has ANY role, consulting, accounting, data entry, customer service, Walmart greeter (you get my point), please reach out and let me know. I'm open to relocate, if necessary, with some limitations. I would prefer to stay in Florida, but have no issues with other states in warm climate.
Thank you in advance to all who read this and can possibly help.
