Hug your kids and spouse extra tight!
We were recently in Florida visiting both my parents and Amanda's parents...our little Cecilia (21 months old) had what we thought was just a normal stomach flu starting on Monday evening, Dec. 9th, 2024 and then slept off and on all day Tuesday, Dec. 10th, 2024, seemingly getting better, with no more vomiting, just tired, then Tuesday night, before we went to sleep, Cecilia stopped breathing in my arms very suddenly and unexpectedly, she will be so very missed. Her autopsy says she died of bleeding in her brain due to her lifelong issue with low platelets.
Cecilia Angelina Maria Giuseppe Fabaz was born at home in the middle of the night on March 16, 2023, the best and easiest labor Amanda ever had, our other 6 kids were sound asleep and the labor was quick and Cecilia was born into my arms. 21 months later she took her last breath in my arms. Amanda was a great mother to Cecilia every moment of her life.
Amanda always tries to teach our babies to have as their first words the holy names of Jesus and Mary...Cecilia never passed a statue or picture in our house without pointing, smiling and saying "Mar" (her version of Mary)...if she was ever crying we would pick her up and bring her close to a statue of Our Lord or a picture of Our Lady and she would instantly stop crying and point and smile and say "Mar, Mar, Mar."
The attached picture is from a couple of weeks ago, she was looking over our kids then...and now she's looking over them from Heaven.
We are so thankful that God gave us this great gift of Cecilia Angelina to enjoy her and love her for 21 months, we loved her every second of her life, we know that we were not entitled to that great blessing of having Cecilia and it was a total gift and we thank God for the 21 months we got to spend with her, we will never forget her.
"The Lord hath given and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord!"
Two months ago we met a great Mom and her baby at church...Cecilia and the other baby named Zelie played & hugged together in the cry room during Mass...a week later that mom, her baby in her womb, and baby Zelie died in a car crash...ever since we heard their tragic news Amanda has been asking little Zelie to pray to God that He might cure Cecilia of her low platelets; but it seems that God and Zelie instead wanted Cecilia in Heaven with them.
Hug your kids and your spouse tight, we know not the day nor the hour that any of us will be called from this world; follow the 10 Commandments, seek out God, pray everyday, beg God to help us know the true faith and to follow it...never forget our purpose in business is to find win-win outcomes for our employer, for ourselves, for our employees, for our customers and for the greater society...never forget our purpose in life is to know, love and serve God in this world so we can be happy with Him forever in the next.
Best Regards,
