While a solid degree and work experience are beneficial, Skilled leaders should always look beyond the CV. That means considering: - Soft skills like communication, negotiation, and emotional intelligence. - How they interact with others (ex: introvert vs. extrovert). - Their growth goals and how they articulate them. - Hobbies and interests outside of work. Hiring for experience alone will result in a technically skilled team... But not necessarily one that upholds the company mission and culture. That's why it's crucial to look for candidates who will: ➡️ Motivate others by setting a good example. ➡️ Contribute to a thriving workplace culture. ➡️ Encourage team members to reach their goals. ➡️ Bring fresh, innovative perspectives and ideas. ➡️ Invest time and energy out of genuine interest. So, what can you do as a leader to get the best people for the job? Here are three things you can do in your next hiring interview: 1. Ask them to share a story. ↳ Ask interviewees to share a time they stepped out of their comfort zone. ↳ See what kind of experiences makes their eyes light up. 2. Jared West liked thisRobert Goodman sat in a hospital bed with chemotherapy flowing into his chest when he realized he had run out of time and options. The Florida high school history teacher was fighting colon cancer. Surgery and treatment had already used every paid sick day he had, and he still needed at least 20 more days away from work to complete chemotherapy that could give him a chance at recovery. He faced a painful choice. He could return to the classroom while still battling cancer, or stay home and lose the income his family depended on during an already difficult period. From that hospital bed, he posted a simple selfie on Facebook and made a quiet request. He asked if any fellow teachers could donate unused sick days so he could finish his treatment. He hoped for 20. What followed moved far beyond that number. In just four days, teachers, staff, administrators, and even professors he had never met donated enough leave to cover an entire semester, giving him the time to focus on survival instead of financial pressure 💛

Team Integrate Wealth Management traded our desks for hairnets, scoops and scales yesterday at Feed My Starving Children—and packed fortified meals to combat malnutrition in kids around the world. In just a couple of hours, all volunteers packed enough meals to feed 142 children every day for a full year! You never know who is what if judge people based on looks. The guy that looks like he’s got it all figured out….he may be fighting for his life.
