Sharing ideas, strengthening relationships, and celebrating the holidays together. It was a wonderful reminder of how collaboration makes us stronger. Even more exciting, I then had the opportunity to welcome the team to our Dallas office for another round of celebrations here in the U.S. Visiting everyone was such a joy, and it reinforced how much I value working with such talented and dedicated colleagues. Every year, I’d join them for a company BBQ and learn about the ways their workplace prioritized safety. Learning how they were protected while doing the jobs that supported our family left a lasting impression on me. Last month, I had the opportunity to attend Safety Day, this time, as an employee of Aecon Group Inc.. I visited a local job site, shared a meal with colleagues, and learned firsthand how Safety is our most important core value. Jamie S. reacted on thisJamie S. reacted on thisAfter 10 months, I officially graduated from the VOUS College Leadership Program. This past year has been one of the most rewarding seasons of my life. What started as an opportunity to grow in my faith and leadership skills became an experience that taught me so much about teamwork, communication, and serving others. Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to serve alongside staff, leaders, and fellow students while helping support the day-to-day operations of VOUS College. As the College Operations Coordinator, I helped support student experiences, coordinate logistics, and contribute to the behind-the-scenes work that helped our ministry to run smoothly. Through hands-on ministry experience, leadership development, and classroom learning, I was challenged to grow both personally and professionally. Beyond what I learned, I'm most grateful for the leaders who invested in me and everyone who made this experience so meaningful. Looking back, I'm leaving this season with so much gratitude for everything I've learned and experienced. I’m excited to carry these lessons into whatever comes next.

The past two years have challenged me in ways I never expected while also providing some of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am deeply grateful to my professors, clinical supervisors, mentors, and peers whose guidance and support helped me grow both personally and professionally. I’m excited to share that I have accepted my dream clinical fellowship at the Miami VA Healthcare System beginning in August. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to work with and serve our nation’s veterans, and it is truly an honor to contribute to the care of those who have given so much in service to our country. I feel incredibly fortunate to continue my training in a setting that closely aligns with my interests and values, and I look forward to learning from and collaborating with such an exceptional team. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported, and believed in me throughout this journey. I am excited for what comes next!

The 86-acre complex, operated by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX, is designed to support integrated, multi-agency public safety training through realistic, hands-on scenarios. At the Kimley-Horn annual Shareholder Meeting, I gave a presentation on the projects in the Southwestern Medical District with my friends and colleagues, Judd Mullinix, P.E. and Blake Hodge. I also celebrated 25 years at this great company! The last two weekends, I performed in a community theater production of Annie with my wife and daughter. First time in a musical since high school and we are hooked!

Austin rents fell 11% for lower-income renters. Starting in 2015, Austin overhauled how projects get approved. Site plan review times dropped 56%. Change of Use timelines went from two months to two weeks. And when the city couldn't keep up, Texas passed HB 14, giving developers the right to bring in third-party plan reviewers to move things along. The city added 120,000 units in a decade, three times the national growth rate. By January 2026, Austin's median rent had fallen below the national average, the steepest decline of any large U.S. city. When projects move through the system quickly, more gets built, and more people can afford to live in the city they work in. Austin is proof. GreenLite is a licensed private plan reviewer in Texas.
