“I was Jaeung's hiring manager. He was a software engineer in my team during his entire tenure at BioNTech. Jay was a wonderful find. He eagerly learned subject domain of our cell therapy development, which allowed him to productively interact with computational biologists to gather requirements, propose solutions and turn prototypes and ideas into robust software implementations based on Nextflow, Python, Pytest and Docker. He managed my group's AWS environment, both implementing features and productively interacting with IT engineers, which allowed us, computational biologists, to focus on science.
