I decided to mentor two incoming transfer students that were admitted into UCSD's chemical engineering program. I knew what specific things transfer students should be aware of when entering into a 4-year university and wanted to give them a few tips on how to succeed not only in the strenuous engineering program but also how to use the tools they learn along the way such as MATLAB and Excel to make their work and life easier much easier.
