Tonight was a great example of how drone technology is continuing to evolve live event production. We live streamed FPV drone footage directly to the Jumbotron, giving the crowd a real-time view from the pilot’s perspective. The video feed was sent straight from the FPV goggles, meaning the audience was seeing exactly what the drone pilot was seeing, live and in the moment. This approach creates a level of immersion that traditional cameras simply cannot replicate. It brings fans into the action, adds excitement to the event, and introduces a new layer of engagement for large sporting venues. The response from the crowd was incredible and clearly showed how powerful this type of integration can be. This is where live media is headed. Combining FPV drone technology with in-venue displays opens the door to new storytelling possibilities and a more interactive fan experience at major sporting events.
