The Resistance Story Most AI enablement programs fail before the first training session. Not because the technology is hard. Because nobody addressed why people are afraid of it. I've spent years selling AI to automotive dealers — operators who built careers on gut instinct, relationship selling, and "we've always done it this way." The technology wasn't the obstacle. Their identity was. The salespeople who resisted hardest weren't lazy. They were afraid of becoming irrelevant. The managers who blocked adoption weren't stupid. They were protecting their authority. Successful AI enablement doesn't start with a tool demo. It starts with a conversation about what people are actually afraid of losing. Get that right first. The adoption follows.
