Canvassed for Dorcey Applyrs’ mayoral campaign in Albany, NY, where I engaged directly with community members to share Dr. Applyrs’ vision and priorities. Through face-to-face conversations and grassroots outreach, I helped to build support for a campaign centered on equity, transparency, and community empowerment. It was a powerful opportunity to contribute to civic engagement at the local level… and to help her win the primary election in June 2025.

As the two-term President of the Century Road Club Association (www.crca.net), I was responsible for leading the Board team and ensuring all race and back end operations for our 800+ member organization were executed seamlessly. I was a volunteer member of my building's cooperative board. Member of apartment coop board. In addition to acting as an advisor to the Board President, I was responsible for implementing a communications portal for the building: requirements gathering, vendor review, implementation + roll-out.

As the Vice President of Open Races, I was the lead race promoter and organizer for all bike races open to CRCA members and non-members, sponsored by the Century Road Club Association (http://www.crca.net/). This involved all aspects of race organization, including race officiating, marshaling, liaising with NYC Parks representatives, and closely collaborating with local police and EMT resources.

I was an Outward Bound Instructor at several Outward Bound schools (NCOBS in North Carolina, HIOBS in Hurricane Island, Maine, and NYCOBS in New York City.) I led three week wilderness backpacking and climbing excursions for high school students, helping young people learn how to be self-sufficient and resilient in the face of challenge and adversity.
