I recently participated in the Chief of Staff Maturity Assessment from Chief of Staff Academy, and my result came back as: The Architect. At first, I thought — of course it did. Because this is what I have naturally grown into over the years: building systems, creating clarity, and helping organizations operate at scale — not just supporting leadership, but helping shape how leadership works. But what made this valuable wasn’t the label. It was the reflection behind it. What it confirmed for me was how I operate: at the intersection of strategy and execution. I do not just solve problems — I design the environment where problems don’t happen in the first place. My highest scoring domain was Emotional Intelligence (100/100) — and that one hit deeply. Because the real work of a Chief of Staff is not just process or planning. It is reading the room. It is navigating complexity. It is helping leaders and teams move forward together. What it challenged me to think about is my development areas were in: • Project & Portfolio Management • Continuous Improvement & Automation And if I’m being honest — this makes sense. As an “Architect,” it’s easy to stay in design mode…seeing the big picture, building the system, connecting the dots. But the next level of growth is different: • Scaling execution through others • Building systems that improve continuously without me • Letting go of doing, and leaning further into enabling (Virgo tendencies officially acknowledged 😂) What I plan on focusing on next is leaning deeper into: ✔️ Delegation and scale ✔️ Operational systems that run without friction ✔️ Embedding leadership behaviors across teams Because the goal is not to be the person holding everything together. It is to build something that holds — even when you step away. The bigger reflection of this assessment reminded me of something I have felt throughout my career: The best Chief of Staffs are not just operators. They are force multipliers. They connect people. They align priorities. They create the conditions for growth. Huge congratulations to Arnaud Rager for the development, intention, and thoughtfulness behind this work. It’s clear how much care went into building something that genuinely helps practitioners reflect, grow, and operate at a higher level. Grateful to be part of this beta and to reflect more intentionally on how I continue to grow in this role. April showers bring May flowers — and I'm leaning into a season of change. Today I'm sharing that I've made the decision to step away from my role at Circle, where I had the privilege of supporting exceptional leaders like Dante A. Disparte and working alongside a talented team shaping the future of digital finance. During my time there, I'm most proud of the work we did to build and elevate executive operations — creating systems, playbooks, and dashboards that brought greater clarity, alignment, and momentum to strategic initiatives. From supporting Circle's presence at Davos, a Fall and Spring World Bank, to strengthening cross-functional collaboration, it was fast-paced, challenging, and deeply rewarding. I came to Circle because I believe in leaders who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the world. That belief and value has not changed — it is guiding me forward. Now, time to reflect, reset, and explore what's next. I am energized by conversations, activities and projects already underway and excited about opportunities to continue building, partnering, and creating impact in new ways. My first Davos. For years, I watched the World Economic Forum from afar—listening to global leaders talk about innovation, collaboration, sustainability, and leadership, and what those ideas mean for individuals, countries, and the world. Being there in person, as part of a thoughtful delegation, was not only transformative—it was deeply impactful. There truly is no event like the World Economic Forum, and that is by design. Four intense days filled with dialogue, strategy, learning, partnership-building, event planning, scheduling, logistics, and everything in between reminded me that progress doesn’t happen in soundbites—it happens through presence, preparation, and people who show up fully. It was energizing to support and celebrate a group of leaders setting a high bar for excellence and innovation, and to meet so many incredible people committed to moving complex work forward. The pace was relentless, plans changed constantly, decisions had to be made quickly, and perfection was never the goal—showing up consistently at 100% was. My sleep schedule may be completely destroyed, but I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. Grateful for the trust, the teamwork, and the opportunity to help elevate our collective efforts and show what it really means to lead with intention, resilience, and care. Onward and upward—with a little more coffee. ☕❄️
