The company, which makes technology to regulate temperature in commercial buildings, was named the winner of the Minnesota Rise of the Rest Road Tour competition, a business-pitch event hosted by AOL's Steve Case. It was one of 10 companies competing for a $100,000 investment from Case, who launched the tour to highlight startups outside of Silicon Valley.

    75F, founded and led by Deepinder Singh, 75F uses wireless sensors and other technology to automatically adjust temperature in offices and other commercial buildings based on factors like whether the area is occupied or not.     The Cleantech Open is known as 'The Academy Awards of Cleantech.’ This not-for-profit organization runs the world’s largest accelerator for cleantech startups. Their mission is to find, fund and foster entrepreneurs with big ideas that address today’s most urgent energy, environmental and economic challenges. 75F received the People's Choice Award and was selected as the overall winner within the Energy Efficient Division.

    MN Cup

    The eleventh annual MN Cup competition — the largest statewide new venture competition in the country. Minnesota's entrepreneurs, inventors and small businesses submitted entries on the MN Cup website to compete for $300,000 in prize money. The 75F startup maker of “smart” HVAC technology won the Minnesota Cup entrepreneurship competition. 75F took home $105,000 in prize money, including the $50,000 grand prize and a $25,000 grant from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation.
