Emily Duffee posted thisYesterday I completed my AI Search OS Certification exam. Am I a nerd because I found it fun and exciting to learn new LLMs and hone my prompt writing skills? NO. I'm a librarian. This is what we do. When I chose an MLIS over an MBA people thought I was crazy. In today's AI-driven marketing environment, success depends on efficient prompts, classification, and data relationships. Converting search and data analysis into simple, consumable content is the reason I wanted to become a librarian and here I am, almost 20 years later, still so grateful I made that choice.

Emily Duffee shared thisI took a break from professional activities last week to build memories with my family in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Admittedly, job searching has been a lot over the past few weeks, but time in nature and connecting with fellow marketers (like Garrett Erickson and Joe Matar -- thanks gents!) has me energized to find the right fit.

Emily Duffee posted thisAfter a successful rebranding and new website launch at HealthSherpa, it's time for me to look for my next adventure. I've built brands, launched products, and driven measurable results across health tech, ACA Marketplace, group benefits, and behavioral health. While I have a sharp instinct for positioning and a researcher's mindset, I have a genuine obsession with making complex products feel human and compelling to the people who need them. I'm open to Director and Senior Manager roles in product marketing, brand, or content — ideally in healthcare or health tech, though I'm curious about adjacent spaces too. If you're building something that puts people at the center, let's talk. 👇 #OpenToWork #ProductMarketing #HealthcareMarketing #HealthTech #BrandStrategy

Emily Duffee liked thisEmily Duffee liked thisToday is international nonbinary people’s day. For me, nonbinary means falling outside of what my gender assigned at birth expected me to be, do, or act like. As a founder, that’s meant challenging the either/or, not choosing traditional paths, and just showing up as me. Here’s what I’m learning: that friction is where the good stuff comes from. When you don’t fit the default, you can’t just do things “the way it’s always been done”... because “the way it’s always been done” was never built with you in mind. So you ask different questions which leads to building different things. New things that never existed for you. That’s why visibility matters so much to us at Hey Famm . Because invisibility has a cost. When nonbinary founders or people at work aren’t seen, the next nonbinary person doesn’t know this is possible for them. So today, I’m sharing some of the things I’ve learned and am still learning along the way! Happy international nonbinary people’s day, famm! Share this with a nonbinary person building something. 🫶🏽

Emily Duffee liked thisEmily Duffee liked thisHello LinkedIn. My name is Cat and I’m building a version of you that is not overrun with AI bots and generic AI posts, sleazy sales tactics, a horse race in content creation, and all the exhausting performance we see here from folx everyday. It’s built for safety, community care and queer economic empowerment. No fancy algorithms. No embedded AI features. Completely private. Anti-lgbtq+ folks, spammy accounts, aggressive sales people, terfs, and anyone else who doesn’t align with our values of queerness and kindness just keep scrolling. Anyone who has the privilege of knowing Ben quickly learns how kind, driven, and passionate he is. His thirst for knowledge and his ability to distill it for others is quite special. What I love most about Ben though is his laugh. Sharing inside jokes and building our friendship on the joy that comes from laughter was one of my favorite things in our time at USU. Please read more about this good, decent man and consider donating if you have the ability. And if you want to learn about leadership without reading another self-serving book, check out his podcast How to Take Over the World . #community #service #marketing #leadership #family https://lnkd.in/gnTXmd8hDonate to Help Ben Fight Cancer: Support His Treatment, organized by Jeremy NefDonate to Help Ben Fight Cancer: Support His Treatment, organized by Jeremy Nef

Emily Duffee liked thisEmily Duffee liked thisCommon misbelief: Modern marketing is just "posting online." It’s not. It’s 5 individual channels working together. Most people think of marketing as running ads and posting on social media. And while those are still important components, they won’t be enough to drive your ideal outcomes anymore. Modern marketing is more complex than that. It’s AI search, SEO, brand, content, and performance - all working together. Here’s how it actually breaks down: AI Search Visibility ↳ Millions of people are finding products and services through AI ↳ If you're not structured for AI, you're invisible where it matters most ↳ This is quickly becoming a non-negotiable channel for all businesses SEO and Organic Search ↳ It’s not dead. Google still handles billions of searches every day ↳ SEO continues to be one of the most reliable and compounding channels ↳ But it’s changing - traffic alone isn’t enough if your brand isn’t part of the answer Brand and Positioning ↳ Clear positioning makes every other channel work harder ↳ With AI interpreting and summarising information, consistency across platforms matters more than ever ↳ A distinct brand is becoming a real competitive advantage Content Strategy ↳ Founder-led content is one of the highest-ROI activities right now ↳ Educational posts, lead magnets, and short-form video build trust over time ↳ And strong content doesn’t just get published - it gets repurposed and distributed across multiple surfaces Paid and Performance ↳ Still essential, but most effective when your organic foundation is already in place ↳ Without proper tracking (CAC, ROAS, attribution), it becomes very hard to scale efficiently Most businesses will focus their energy on one or two of these. But the real opportunity comes from understanding how they work together - and especially how AI search is starting to sit at the center of it all. That’s where the biggest shift is happening right now. And it’s also where the gap between visible and invisible brands is growing fastest. That’s exactly what we focus on inside the AI Search Accelerator. A 6-week, hands-on cohort where we help you: ↳ Understand how AI search actually works ↳ Identify where your brand is currently visible (and where it’s not) ↳ Fix the structural gaps across content, schema, and authority ↳ Build assets that can be picked up, understood, and cited by AI systems ↳ Track and improve your visibility across the main AI platforms If you want to understand where your business stands today - and what to actually do to improve it: You can apply here: https://lnkd.in/dmBAJndK ♻️ Repost to share this with other founders 🔔 Follow Emilia Möller for more on modern marketing

Emily Duffee liked thisEmily Duffee liked thisA quick career update: I've started a new role as Head of Product Marketing at Remote. It's an exciting time to step into the role. Over the last few years, one thing has become increasingly clear: payroll is where our customers need us most. It's one of the hardest problems in business, and when it goes wrong, the consequences are very real. That realization is shaping Remote's next chapter. We're focused on building the infrastructure that global employment runs on. Over the last year, I've had the opportunity to lead our HR product suite across product, GTM, and operations. Going forward, I'll be spending more time on category, platform strategy, ecosystem, partnerships, and helping shape how Remote shows up in the market during what feels like a major inflection point for our industry. Excited for what's ahead.

Marketing teams aren’t broken, but the systems they work in are. We work with enterprise marketing leaders every day, and the same four roadblocks keep showing up: 1. Campaigns that don’t match funnel goals 2. Tech built from spreadsheets, not real journeys 3. Agencies and teams stuck in silos 4. No live visibility into the full customer experience They’re not small issues, they’re costing teams time, performance, and budget… and slowing down growth. We break down the four biggest structural gaps we’re seeing and how Nevam addresses them in our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/g5cCG3jU #enterprisemarketing #marketingops #martech #customerjourney #journeymapping #marketingstrategy
