Small business, to me, is a form of everyday activism. Choosing to invest in local communities, craft, and relationships over scale for scale’s sake. Having the flexibility to install dashcams one day and the next building out something I can be proud of has been extremely rewarding. I’ve traded powerpoints and meetings for sawdust and prototypes and in the process rediscovered why I started making in the first place. It hasn’t been the most predictable path, but it’s been one of the most honest. I have missed the daily connections I've made in my career, but I've missed myself more.
