Drew Greer reposted thisDrew Greer reposted this60/60: 60 Days. 60 Lessons. Master Supply Chain from Scratch. 📌 Topic of the Day: The Bigger Picture - From Basics to Mastery Sixty days ago, we started with a simple question: What is supply chain, and why does it matter? Since then, we’ve traveled together from demand planning to lean manufacturing, risk management to robotics, and everything in between. We’ve seen how one missed delivery can ripple through an entire network… and how a smart strategy can turn waste into profit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 📌 What You’ve Learned (in 60 Days) - The building blocks: inventory, warehouses, transport, demand - The power tools: JIT, Kanban, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC - The future drivers: AI, blockchain, digital twins, automation - The human side: resilience, collaboration, continuous improvement -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🌍 Why It Matters Supply chain isn’t just trucks, warehouses, and data. It’s the invisible system that keeps the world moving. Every pizza, every phone, every vaccine - supply chains make it possible. When they run well, the world feels effortless. When they break, we all notice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🍕 Real Snapshot: Tony’s Journey (and Yours) Remember Tony’s pizza ovens? In 60 days, he went from struggling with stockouts to: ✅ Smarter forecasting ✅ Leaner inventory ✅ Reliable transport ✅ Stronger customer trust That’s the story of every great supply chain leader - learning, improving, and adapting every day. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🧠 Today’s Takeaway 📌 Supply chain mastery isn’t about memorizing terms. It’s about seeing connections, anticipating problems, and building resilience. If you’ve followed this journey, you now understand not just the pieces of supply chain but how they fit together into one powerful system. Because in supply chain, excellence is never an accident - it’s designed, every step of the way. 🙌 Thank You for Being Part of This 60-Day Journey. But remember - this is just the beginning. Keep learning. Keep experimenting. Keep improving. Because supply chains don’t stand still. And neither should you. #60/60 #SupplyChainMastery #CrashCourseSCM #ContinuousLearning #Leadership #SupplyChain #Logistics #LinkedInLearning

Receiving this award just a year and half into my FedEx journey is something I never imagined. Throughout my career, I have learned that success is rarely about individual achievement. It comes from bringing people together around a common goal, solving difficult problems, embracing innovation, and never losing sight of the customer experience. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow, and create something better than when you found it. I have the privilege of working alongside an incredible team that creates customized solutions for customers across healthcare, life sciences, aerospace, automotive, and data center industries. To my colleagues, leaders, mentors, and customers—thank you for your partnership, trust, and support. This recognition belongs to all of you as much as it does to me. Thank you, FedEx, for this incredible honor, and congratulations to my fellow Five Star Award recipients.

A new country every few months or years. That also describes the first couple of years at GenLogs. We were a fully-remote company. We didn't have an office. No true physical footprint. I spent my honeymoon working out of a van down by the river (true story!). 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴. We are slowly putting down roots. We have physical offices in four states now. We own bucket trucks. We operate a warehouse. We have hubs of GenLoggers starting to take shape. We have over 100 employees customer-obsessed and united on building the future. More updates to share in the coming months, but one thing is for sure: GenLogs 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 🚀 (And we are hiring! Sarah Erwin)

Drew Greer liked thisDrew Greer liked thisBefore becoming a dad, I didn't understand the pressure that parents carry. Be successful at work. Create opportunities. Provide for your family. Then walk through the door and immediately be fully present. Be a husband. Be a father. Teach. Guide. Set the example. Somewhere in the middle... you try to take care of yourself. What I never appreciated was how much pressure comes with the role. Pressure to succeed. Pressure to provide. Pressure to be present. Pressure to get it right. Much of it self-imposed. Some of it from society... but it's real. IDK why I'm thinking about this today, but I have a much deeper respect for parents today than I did before becoming one. Ya'll are doing great.

If LTL feels messy, it’s usually not the freight! Most of the time, the issue isn’t LTL itself; it’s the lack of visibility, tools, and support behind it. Agents end up fielding unnecessary questions, chasing documents, and managing confusion that shouldn’t exist in the first place. At Armstrong Transport Group, LTL is built to be a solution, not a scramble. Agents are supported with: • A full LTL program — traditional, volume, and client-specific pricing • customer-facing portal • Easy access to invoices and shipment documents The result is a cleaner customer experience and fewer fires for agents to put out. If LTL consistently feels harder than it should, it’s worth looking at the platform behind you, not just the freight. #LTL #freight #agent #agentprogram #armstrongtransportgroup #atg #transportation #logistics #ltlfreight

One of the biggest challenges shippers face today is the complexity of transportation modes. FTL. LTL. Drayage. Intermodal. Expedited. Each comes with different pricing structures, transit times, carrier networks, and potential disruptions. For many companies, managing all of it internally becomes a full-time job. That’s where the right logistics partner makes a difference. Our role isn’t just to move freight — it’s to simplify the decision-making process and communicate every step of the way. When capacity shifts, ports get congested, or timelines change, clear communication becomes just as important as the mode itself. Sometimes the answer is a truck. Sometimes it’s rail. Sometimes it’s expedited. But the real value comes from knowing the options, making the right call, and keeping everyone informed. The goal is simple: Remove complexity so shippers can focus on running their business. Because supply chains are complicated enough — logistics shouldn’t make it harder. #Logistics #SupplyChain #Freight #TransportationManagement #ShippingManagers #SupplyChainManagement
