Wall Street 💰 is taking another meaningful step toward the future of capital markets. JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Vanguard, and the New York Stock Exchange are participating in a DTCC-led pilot to tokenize U.S. 🇺🇸 stocks and Treasury securities. This is more than another blockchain experiment. The focus is on integrating tokenization into the existing market infrastructure while maintaining the legal rights and protections investors expect. If successful, tokenization could help: • Improve settlement efficiency • Reduce operational costs • Enable faster movement of collateral • Increase market liquidity • Create new opportunities for programmable financial products The conversation around tokenization is no longer about "if." It is increasingly about how regulated institutions will implement it at scale. The financial industry has reached a point where traditional market infrastructure and digital asset technology are beginning to converge. Crypto was never meant to be an investment. It is faster, cheaper financial tech infrastructure. 10 numbers prove it: B2B transfers: up to 90% cheaper Settlement: 5 seconds instead of 5 days Remittances: under 1% instead of 6.5% Bank savings: $10B by 2030 Global savings potential: $510B Microtransactions: under $0.01 FX overhead eliminated: up to 15% DeFi yields: 1% to 4% higher Settlement: 24/7/365 DeFi market projection: $1.4T by 2033 The real opportunity is not the coin. It is replacing slow, expensive financial infrastructure with code.

The Institutional Crypto Lending Stack 💡 During the last bull market, institutional crypto lending grew rapidly, but it did so on top of a fragile structure. 🔹 Credit was soften extended on reputation rather than robust underwriting.  🔹 Collateral standards were inconsistent.  🔹 Large parts of the system operated with limited transparency.  🔹 And much of the borrowed capital flowed to crypto-native hedge funds and trading firms using leverage to scale trading strategies. The year after 2022 marked a clear inflection point for institutional crypto lending, forcing the industry to professionalize across core processes: 🔸 Collateralization: Secured loans with conservative LTV's became the norme.  🔸 Risk: Real-time collateral monitoring became more important than counterparty trust. 🔸 Segregation: Assets are increasingly held in separate custody structures.  🔸 Transparency: Lenders now require greater visibility into exposures and collateral positions. On the borrower side, demand for crypto-backed lending still comes primarily from crypto-native financial firms. These include: ▪️ Hedge funds and trading firms: They may borrow stablecoins against BTC or ETH to fund basis trades, arbitrage strategies, short-terme directional trades, or settlement needs. ▪️ Market makers: Borrowing against digital assets creates balance sheet flexibility. It allows them to access liquidity, quote across venues, and respond to client demand while keeping inventory intact.  ▪️ Brokers and other intermediaries: Crypto-backed lending is becoming part of the financing stack. They need capital to support client flows, margin needs, and treasury operations. Trading-related borrowing still accounts for the largest share of flows. But this may change as digital assets become a more meaningful part of corporate balance sheets and treasury operations. Put together, crypto-backed loans are moving beyond speculative leverage. Increasingly, they are becoming a working-capital tool for institutions that hold digital assets and need liquidity without selling them. Institutions need clarity on who their counterpart is, how the loan is documented, how collateral is managed, and what happens in a default. In permissionless onchain lending markets, many of these questions are harder to answer. Despite greater transparency around collateral and market activity, legal, compliance, and counterparty risks remain less clear. This is why centralized players remain the easiest format for many institutions to approve internally. These procedures also add operational overhead, making crypto-backed loans origination offchain slow and complex. This is one reason onchain lending structures are becoming more attractive to institutional players.
