Carrier-Based Supersonic Unmanned Escort Strike Fighter

This project is for the Design of Atmospheric Flight Vehicles course that I am currently taking. This is a two semester long design project were myself and 5 other classmates make up a team who's goal is to develop a design for a Carrier-Based Supersonic Unmanned Escort Strike Fighter. The design is to be based on the desired qualities and parameters as defined by our instructor (Which includes having a dash speed of at least Mach 2.0, having super cruise capability, and being able to…
This project is for the Design of Atmospheric Flight Vehicles course that I am currently taking. This is a two semester long design project were myself and 5 other classmates make up a team who's goal is to develop a design for a Carrier-Based Supersonic Unmanned Escort Strike Fighter. The design is to be based on the desired qualities and parameters as defined by our instructor (Which includes having a dash speed of at least Mach 2.0, having super cruise capability, and being able to withstand +12 and -8 g's of force). I am the Propulsion technical lead, where i am responsible for the design of the propulsion systems for the aircraft, which includes determining the engine to use, analyzing the engine, design the engine inlets, incorporating thrust vectoring (if the teams deems to be necessary), and the fuel systems integration. In addition all of the members are responsible for conduction structural analysis of the aircraft design.

This team project is part of the Aerospace Engineering capstone course (Experimental Projects, AAE 4510-4511) and is a two semester long project. Myself and the rest of team are setting out to engineer and design a race quality paddleboard that has less drag than existing board (Making it a faster board). We will develop a testing procedure in order to determine the drag on current racing boards. The testing will use both computational tests (mainly CFD), and experimental testing (testing the…
This team project is part of the Aerospace Engineering capstone course (Experimental Projects, AAE 4510-4511) and is a two semester long project. Myself and the rest of team are setting out to engineer and design a race quality paddleboard that has less drag than existing board (Making it a faster board). We will develop a testing procedure in order to determine the drag on current racing boards. The testing will use both computational tests (mainly CFD), and experimental testing (testing the boards in the water to find the drag coefficient). From those results the team will set out to develop a new board that has a lower drag coefficient than existing boards.

There are three current projects which include the 30k competition rocket, the 10k competition rocket, and the Space Launch Initiative Project. Myself and the other lead are in charge of the recovery systems design and manufacturing for all three of the current projects. We lead a small group of fellow students, and the projects within the team include, parachute design, parachute manufacturing, flow simulation (using CFD), and general recovery systems research for future designs to name a few.
