Huge shoutout to the entire SJC team and all the leadership that helped support this outcome. Here’s to an even bigger FY27!

Craig Melhuse liked thisCraig Melhuse liked thisAfter 7.5 years at Salesforce, I'm closing one of the best chapters of my career. When I joined as a mid-market AE I was just excited to be there. I didn't come in with a grand plan. I came in ready to work and figure it out. What I didn't expect was how much I would fall in love with the craft of selling. At Salesforce it was never really about the product. It was about the business problem. On any given day you could be talking to a VP of Marketing, a CFO, a Head of Sales Ops, and you had to understand all of it. Getting in front of customers, being creative, bringing ideas, spending 75% of my time on site building real relationships. Those early days shaped everything. I had leaders who believed in me before I believed in myself and a team around me that pushed me to be better. I went to Salesforce to get my MBA in Sales and that's exactly what I got. Kristin Tellers and Jon Mickelson took a chance on me early. When I was ready for leadership, Joel Oubre and Jon Mickelson again believed in me and handed me an opportunity I didn't take lightly. I stepped into shoes left by Winston Harris, and I want to acknowledge that. Big shoes. The kind that remind you every day to show up right. My last six months working with Alana Aharonov pushed me in ways I didn't expect. I also had the privilege of covering Utah and the Silicon Slopes community for most of my career here. This market is special. The companies, the people, the energy. I loved every minute of it. There are too many people to name and I know I'll miss someone, but you know who you are. The managers who pushed me, the reps who trusted me, the SEs who went to battle with me, the customers who let me into their business, and the colleagues who made the hard days easier and the good days better. Every one of you left a mark. To the team I'm leaving behind: you are talented, driven, and built for this. Go make waves. To every rep, customer, leader, and colleague who made this run what it was: THANK YOU! Salesforce gave me more than I expected and I'm leaving better than I arrived. Excited for what comes next.

It’s an example of the type of AI deployment I’m most excited to help build: focused, grounded in trusted data, embedded in tools people already use, and driving meaningful real-world impact. It was extremely rewarding to support the Rare team in building the first phase of Agent Tierra, and I’m excited for the next phases that will continue to help smallholder farmers build climate resilience in sustainable ways.

After spending the last 8 years in implementation leadership consulting, I made the transition a week ago into an Account Executive role with Incisive Consultants. Now I will get to focus on connecting organizations with the same kind of consulting support that I used to deliver. I’m excited about this change and the challenge it brings, especially getting to work alongside an awesome new team. This role allows me stay close to the work I care about, while cultivating new relationships and helping teams find the best support possible. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and colleagues as I step into this next chapter. Grateful for what I've gotten to do since leaving Epic, excited by where I’m headed, and can't wait to see what the next year brings.

Craig Melhuse liked this🎸 Meet Chief of Rock — my workspace agent for making sure my workday doesn’t turn into a surprise reunion tour. As a seller, I’m not actually managing 90s rock bands 😅 The agent masks people + accounts as bands/band members for fun, privacy, and demo safety — but the workflow underneath is very real. It pulls together my calendar, inbox, team chat, task list, CRM context, and owned-account news, then turns the chaos into a crisp operating brief: which meetings matter most, what follow-ups are at risk, which deals or accounts need attention, what should move on the TODO list, and what account news is worth acting on. Before: tab-hopping, thread-diving, CRM-checking, calendar-squinting, and trying to remember why “quick follow-up” became a full side quest. After: Chief of Rock gives me the setlist 🤘 Quick note: I sped up the middle of the demo so you can see the full workflow without watching the agent think in real time. That’s the real power of workspace agents for sellers: not one-off answers, but repeatable cross-system workflows that help you stay ahead of customers, prioritize the right actions, and follow through faster — with approval before sensitive steps.
