Christopher Nordmark liked thisChristopher Nordmark liked this✈️ Back from a system strategy workshop in Pittsburgh 🇺🇸 where we spent the week shaping direction that will influence how a large global organization continues to evolve and serve its customers and people at scale. I was glad to be part of that conversation and contribute in a space where the decisions carry real weight and reach far beyond the room. Coming from Hungary into that setting also reminded me how interconnected this work is across regions teams and perspectives and how important it is to step into the same room when shaping what comes next. What stayed with me most was the human side of it. The conversations after long days the stories we shared the different perspectives on culture work and life. And those moments where you realize connection is happening on a deeper level not just across roles but across backgrounds. Somewhere between the lobby the dinners and a firepit on the last evening those conversations turned into something more meaningful. A quiet reminder that beyond any strategy or system it is still people who make it work. Grateful for the trust the conversations and the chance to contribute. As I’ve been following how AI is being implemented across CX — what’s working, what’s not, and where friction still shows up — this article helped bring a lot of those observations together. In particular, it reinforces the idea that while AI can reduce friction and improve efficiency, moving too quickly toward fully autonomous AI agents can introduce new challenges if humans aren’t meaningfully kept in the loop. What stood out to me is how much of the outcome still depends on leadership judgement: where AI is applied, how teams are supported to use it, and when human interaction remains essential to trust and confidence in the experience. In fact, some of the best professional relationships I’ve ever had were with people who saw things completely differently than I did. There was one coworker in particular — we didn’t always see eye to eye (you know who you are). She had a very clear vision of how things should be done, and (if I’m being honest) so did I. Meetings got... lively. 😅 But here’s the thing: those disagreements weren’t a bad thing. They pushed us both to see the gaps in our thinking. To defend our ideas better. To compromise smarter. By the end, our combined solution was stronger than either of us could have built alone. That’s the real value of perspective — it challenges you to grow. Whether it’s in vendor management, operations, or any kind of leadership, collaboration isn’t about everyone agreeing — it’s about learning to make disagreement productive. It’s about finding common ground that’s not watered down, but built up. So if you find yourself working with someone who sees the world a little differently, lean in. Christopher Nordmark liked thisChristopher Nordmark liked thisI understand LinkedIn is not for personal posts but this week is special. In 2020 I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in my throat (specifically my tonsils). I was informed by the incredible team at Moffitt Cancer Center this was a relatively good cancer to get since it’s usually receptive to treatment (if caught early which it was) but one of the most challenging regarding the intense treatment. After two surgeries (one a tonsillectomy), 5 cycles of chemotherapy and 33 rounds of radiation to my throat this week I lose my remission tag and I am officially CANCER FREE!!! Since my journey (August 24th-October 8th) was during the height of COVID I was alone each day at Moffitt but had tremendous support from my family, friends, loved ones, co-workers, clients, etc. Losing my sister Tammy in 2019 to a completely different form of cancer is a true reminder every day is a gift and you should attack it as if it’s your last because it could be. A book that has helpled me tremendously is The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday Thank you for the amazing support from the leaders and co-workers at HUB International.
