Every year Coach Kim's Secret Santa brings together people around the country. This organization takes donations and donates them to families in the Greater Atlanta Area with children who are not financially stable to have a Christmas or winter holiday. The families are usually struggling financially due to a tragic event in the family, so Coach Kim's Secret Santa will bring gifts to help the family out (i.e gift cards to a grocery store, personal checks from donors, kitchen appliances, ect.)…
Every year Coach Kim's Secret Santa brings together people around the country. This organization takes donations and donates them to families in the Greater Atlanta Area with children who are not financially stable to have a Christmas or winter holiday. The families are usually struggling financially due to a tragic event in the family, so Coach Kim's Secret Santa will bring gifts to help the family out (i.e gift cards to a grocery store, personal checks from donors, kitchen appliances, ect.) Not only does Coach Kim's Secret Santa help the family with gifts that will help the family's needs, but donations also include the liking of toys and small gifts for the children of the family to enjoy. I personally love volunteering with Coach Kim's Secret Santa because it brings about joy in the winter holiday time. The joy of seeing a mother and father's face light up as they can now pay for food and their electricity and water is an amazing feeling. Also, the feeling that you get from seeing young children get gifts that they never thought they would receive, due to the family's circumstances, is a very heart warming feeling. In all, Coach Kim's Secret Santa is a fantastic organization that brings about smiles around the Greater Atlanta Area.

At the Boys and Girls Club of Deland, many underprivileged children go there after school to wait for their parents to pick them up after work. Well, the children are guided by volunteers to helping them with homework and also athletic activity. I helped guide my group of children through a one hour study time right after they got out of school, a fifteen minute snack time where they were allowed to socialize and eat a snack provided for them, then lead an hour and a half of athletic time on…
At the Boys and Girls Club of Deland, many underprivileged children go there after school to wait for their parents to pick them up after work. Well, the children are guided by volunteers to helping them with homework and also athletic activity. I helped guide my group of children through a one hour study time right after they got out of school, a fifteen minute snack time where they were allowed to socialize and eat a snack provided for them, then lead an hour and a half of athletic time on the playground where the children socialized, played on the playground, and also played competitive games against each other. I was recognized as one of the most responsible volunteers and was given the biggest group of children out of popularity by the children and by the leaders of the Boys and Girls Club of Deland. Each day at the Boys and Girls Club of Deland, I was given a group of 20+ children and had to oversee them for the duration of the 2-4 hour shift that I was working. I enjoyed working with the Boys and Girls Club of Deland and it shows all the different backgrounds that children could possibly come from.
