If you're an early-stage DTC business going from 0-to-1 in a REALLY competitive category, we've been using a new account structure that's great at getting you to profitability quickly. I call it the Beachhead Method: First, a preamble. Certain ecommerce categories are so competitive, you're cooked if you follow best-practices (a single consolidated campaign) early on, unless you have best-in-class creative or an innovative product moat, which you almost certainly don't. Our account structure works by forcing Meta to build a mini discovery funnel for your brand that would normally take it $15k+ in ad spend to do naturally with a simpler account structure. It's 3 campaigns: #1: TOF campaign: 2 adsets, 1 optimizing for ATC, 1 optimizing for a custom Google Branded Search Referral event (20% total budget) - make sure to use heavy exclusions (site visitors, ad engagers, etc) and narrow the age-range to be your most-served 10 year bracket from your past conversion campaigns (e.g. 35-44) #2: CBO campaign: 1 adset, broad targeting, ONLY long-form video and UGC content (40% total budget) #3: ASC campaign: 1 adset, ASC targeting, ONLY static ads (40% total budget) Note that the CBO campaign is using Meta's TRUE broad targeting, not its new default Advantage+ targeting. Exclude purchasers (pixel + CRM) only. Campaign #2 and #3 must remain at budget parity, no matter what ROAS you see in-platform. The true Broad CBO feeds impressions to the ASC. The ASC will have better ROAS, but you'll see the true Broad CBO has a much better First Time Impression Rate. Most advertisers reallocate budget into the ASC due to better short-term ROAS, but it collapses your funnel and you can't scale. This goes against Meta's best-practices of account consolidation, and you need to be spending at least $500/day across this entire funnel, but we're seeing this work really well to get you to the coveted consistent 2x ROAS in-platform from launch in <2 weeks.
