Carson Hubred reposted thisCarson Hubred reposted thisI’m incredibly proud and excited to be able to share the news today about the launch of our new product Ansys ConceptEV. Electrified powertrain systems are increasingly complex and rely on multiple teams of expert engineers to design and develop. The highest performance, most efficient or lowest cost system design isn’t achieved by simply optimizing individual components but by understanding the trade-offs that exist within the system design space. ConceptEV embraces system engineering principles, best in class simulation and cloud technology to deliver a revolutionary approach to system design. ConceptEV contains a collaborative shared system model, purpose built for simulating EV powertrains, that is directly connected to requirements right from the conception of the design. This will enable teams to break out of the traditional requirements cascade and effectively explore the design space, to achieve more efficient, longer range and lower cost EVs. A big congratulations to the team in particular Robert Kelly, Philip Usher and Seumus Blair for making this a reality. https://lnkd.in/e8tBqNDmAnsys Debuts ConceptEV to Boost Electric Vehicle Drive RangeAnsys Debuts ConceptEV to Boost Electric Vehicle Drive Range

Carson Hubred reposted thisCarson Hubred reposted thisUnderstanding how the bends on a flex #pcb affects #signalintegrity is important, but what about #emi #emc and desense? In order to evaluate how the signals of a flex PCB will desense the radios of antennas, or ro compute the radiated emissions of your DUT, it is necessary to simulate the entire assembly. In the lates release of #ansys #hfss, we can use layout components to bring the flex PCB with the bend definiotions to the 3D UI and create entire assemblies like this laptop. And we can even create variables to control the bending, so we can simulate #emc and #signalintegrity and desense as we are closing/opening the lid. BTW are you familiar with the "desense"?

In an era of deepfakes, manipulated data, and geopolitical uncertainty, independent ground truth matters more than ever. Leaders around the world must be able to trust the intelligence behind their decisions. As I shared with Nick, decision advantage starts with trusted data. AI can accelerate analysis, surface patterns, and compress the intelligence cycle from days to minutes. But AI is only as reliable as the information it is built on. That is why verifiable spatial intelligence matters. For example, satellite imagery that is clear and accurate enough for you to really see what specific objects are, and what they’re doing. When trusted data is paired with responsible AI, leaders can move faster, see more clearly, and make decisions with greater confidence. Thank you to all my fellow CEOs for two days of thoughtful discussion on truth, accountability, and decision advantage in an increasingly uncertain world.

I had no idea how much I would resonate with numerical simulation as a profession, how it would lead to co-founding PADT, Inc in 1994, and how many friends I would make in the Ansys community. A big thank you to John Swanson for starting it all and changing so many lives. Read all about it on the PADT blog: https://lnkd.in/gmQV4s7D #fea #ansys #simulation #garrett

Carson Hubred liked thisCarson Hubred liked thisThe future of geospatial intelligence is not defined by a single sensor — it is defined by how multiple sources of intelligence come together. At SmallSat Europe, Matthew Jenkins joined the panel “The Multi-Physics EO Stack: Fusing SAR, Thermal, and Hyperspectral,” alongside industry leaders to discuss how advanced geospatial intelligence is evolving through multi-source data fusion, common tasking, and AI-enabled analytics. As highlighted in a recent SatNews article, “The pixel war is over. The integration war is what comes next,” the competitive frontier in Earth observation is moving beyond imagery alone. The next phase is about delivering fused intelligence into customer workflows — combining optical, SAR, thermal, hyperspectral, and other data sources to help users move faster from question to answer. Great discussion from Matt and the panel on where the EO industry is headed next. Read the full SatNews article here: https://lnkd.in/gxq7WaUN
