My circle has been small: neighborhood walks, the park, coffee shops, the farmers market, the library. All places I've enjoyed for years. But now I've experienced it all on wheels. With the kiddo and stroller in tow, I've navigated life a little differently. Traveling is different. Harder. I've never noticed and appreciated good design more in my life. Every planner knows the theoretical. That pedestrian infrastructure should support everyone. Walking or rolling. We know that accessibility is a right, and that gaps in the system heavily impact quality of life. But boy, it's another thing to live it. Motherhood continues to teach me empathy. It is eye-opening and humbling. As a person, and, as it turns out, as a planner.

I’m incredibly grateful for my time at Duncan Aviation and for the coworkers who became genuine friends. One thing that was obvious from day one is that Duncan team members are passionate about what they do and proud of where they work. That’s admirable. It’s a blessing when it’s hard to leave a job, as exciting as what comes next may be. Thank you to everyone who made my time at Duncan so meaningful and for the kind sendoff and support. Next week, I get to marry my favorite person and begin a new chapter with him in Hastings, Nebraska. There are a lot of exciting life changes ahead, and I’m looking forward to what’s next! As I make this transition, I’m also exploring new opportunities in the Hastings area or remote. If you know of any openings or would like to connect, I’d love to hear from you.

Over the last five years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside talented teammates, support amazing leaders, and help connect great people with meaningful careers. What I appreciate most is our culture—one that values people, flexibility, collaboration, and genuine support. Through both professional and personal milestones, I’ve always felt trusted, encouraged, and empowered to do my best work. To mark five years with Olsson, I received this personalized paperweight. It was already pretty special… but then my 13-year-old daughter decided it needed a little more sparkle and bedazzled it for me. It’s now even more meaningful after she put her own touch on it! ✨ Thank you to everyone I’ve had the privilege of working with over the past five years. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead!

What an incredible experience it has been! From the leadership skills I developed, to the impact of each session, to the connections that quickly turned into friendships, this program exceeded every expectation. I’ve always valued seeing things from different perspectives, but this experience challenged me to think in new ways and strengthened my ability to lead with compassion. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for the people who made it so memorable. I’m excited to continue the journey as a Leadership Springfield alum and see what lies ahead.

A lot of learning, a lot of moving pieces, and a lot of figuring things out as I go. Not always easy, but definitely worth it. What’s kept me here more than anything is the people. I really do love being at Olsson, mostly because of who I get to work with every day. I’m part of the absolute best team, and I get to support our data center sector alongside some incredibly strong leaders, which makes the work that much better. I’ve also been lucky to have some phenomenal mentors who’ve challenged me, supported me, and helped shape how I show up every day. That’s made a bigger impact than I can probably put into words. Feeling really grateful for the past five years and excited for what’s ahead! 💚

Three(ish) years... of cereal for dinner (bonus points if it's straight from the box) of rewashing the same laundry 3x because I forgot to switch it out of falling asleep on the couch with my laptop open of toggling between my work emails and my school emails of cooking on Sunday and stretching it to Friday (I have pro tips) of highlighting PDFs like it's a competitive sport of celebrating small wins like submitting something at 11:45 instead of 11:59 of using commute time to catch up on lectures of living by the motto that sleep is a suggestion And just like that, three years of the master's grind are officially closed. I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity, and to have been so well loved and supported through it by my guy (Cass Crews), by my team at work (Reid Catt, Andy Brewer, Erika Hall, & Shihao Pang, PE), and by my family back home. With gratitude. 🎓
