Most tech companies get it wrong on customer success. Maybe all of them to some extent. So, we try it differently. The last two tech products that I bought, I was introduced to customer success about a month after I'd been using the product. I finally had a problem or I wanted to implement something, and they introduced me to their director of customer success. At Rocket Shipping, we're proactive. Instead of the traditional account executive handoff to customer success, we have them on the calls before even signing contracts. They understand all the client's pain points, who the decision-makers and the champions are, and the day-to-day operations, so it's a seamless transition. As a business owner, at first I didn't think I could afford that position. But now as I start to architect how that position plays a role in the larger company, I'm gonna say I can't afford NOT to have it. I think it's the number one way to prevent churn: be able to have your customer success manager be part of the sales cycle and be interactive in creating the solutions from the start. #customersuccess #AE #startup #cpg #churn

Hello My Friend, Each year The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) launches its Visionaries of the Year fundraising campaign, and I was honored to join this year’s efforts as the 2023 candidate. I am posting today to ask for your support of LLS’s mission in its efforts to find cures for blood cancers and to assist patients and families as they battle this disease. I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to help others and most importantly one that hits so close to home. My family and I lost my paternal grandfather to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after a second battle in less than 5 years. He opted to choose not to put his family and body through another battle round of chemotherapy. This ultimately sealed his fate, he passed on July 13, 1992. I’m sure YOU can quickly name 5 people you know impacted by cancer. He missed out on so much in life but most especially meeting his 4 great grandchildren and watching his 4 grandchildren grow up (sports, graduations, weddings, etc.). I wish that he could have been here to see all we have accomplished in life. Through June 8, 2023, our team goal is to raise $100,000 which will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find cures and ensure patients access to the treatments they need. If I raise over $100,000 by June 30, 2023, I can link my name to an LLS-funded research portfolio this year to honor our efforts to help people with blood cancers. Like many of you, I have witnessed firsthand the debilitating effects that leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma can have on those who suffer from these blood cancers, and on the friends and family who care for and nurture their loved ones. In fact, leukemia still causes more deaths than any other cancer among children under the age of 20. But there is something we can do, there are many reasons to be proud to support LLS’s efforts. For instance, of the 17 new cancer-fighting drugs approved by the F.D.A last year, 14 of them were initially developed for blood cancers and many had funding from LLS. Of those 14, ALL of them show promise for treating other cancers: This is an organization that is doing the right things with the dollars it raises, and I’m proud to be associated with LLS.
