Brandon Guzzi shared thisAfter completing my virtual internship with #KPMG this summer, I would first like to thank the firm for providing me with a great opportunity to learn and interact with such intelligent and motivated professionals. Preparing a successful remote internship rather than canceling it required the commitment and efforts of many people who went above and beyond to make this as rewarding of an experience as possible for all of us looking forward to the beginning of our careers. Although the experience could not have been conducted in-person, I was still able to walk away with new understandings and viewpoints of what a career at KPMG US can be. I made several new, quality connections and witnessed an inclusive and collaborative culture that I cannot wait to be apart of. I gained new insight into how riveting the Forensics path in accounting is, and I now plan on pursuing this direction as my career unfolds. Ultimately, there was so much take away from the experience and I am appreciative to be welcomed to work with KPMG. I look forward to developing myself as a professional and learning from the best so that I can apply myself to have an impact on the world. #KPMGEmbark #KPMGers

Due to the nature of client service work, we don’t often have our entire department in the same room. It was incredible to see our team come together and have discussions about topics that will contribute to our individual, team, and firm growth. Brandon Guzzi liked thisBrandon Guzzi liked thisI did a thing! I graduated with a Master’s in Health Information Management! Being the first in my family to receive both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree means everything to me. It’s not just a personal win — it’s also for my mom, who didn’t have the chance to pursue higher education, and for my family, as I work to break the cycle of generational poverty. In high school, I applied to every scholarship I could find and worked hard to maintain good grades. That effort allowed me to attend Texas A&M debt-free and even helped me buy my first car. During grad school, I balanced a full-time job with full-time classes so I could gain real-world experience while earning my degree. It wasn’t easy. There were many days I felt drained and overwhelmed, but I kept going!! To the younger me, I knew you could do it. To my future self, this isn’t the end! Thank you to my mom, my precious friends, my many mentors, and everyone else who supported me— for the encouragement, for the reminders of why I started, and for helping me see this through.
