This Wednesday we spotlight Tekedra Mawakana, co-CEO of Waymo, the autonomous driving company that has done what most AI companies only talk about: shipping to the public at scale, in the real world, in conditions that cannot be controlled. While the rest of the industry debates when autonomous driving will be ready, Waymo is already expanding across more than a dozen cities. Tekedra leads the commercialization of that technology. At Bedrock Robotics, we're not building another app — we're putting autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment, out on real job sites, speeding up billion-dollar infrastructure projects and making them safer. Our team helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment, and built Uber Freight. Now we're backed by over $350M and moving fast to close the gap between America's growing need for housing, infrastructure, data centers, and manufacturing facilities, and a shrinking workforce of skilled builders. As our Global Controller, you'll own our entire accounting function — GL, revenue recognition, consolidations, equity accounting — and help us build investor-grade financial infrastructure from the ground up. You'll partner directly with our Executive Leadership Team, work hand-in-hand with Product and Engineering to automate financial workflows, and help us get audit- and SOX-ready as we scale.
