Adolph Lombardi Jr., MD, FAAOS, a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon and President of
JIS Orthopedics.
Dr. Lombardi is currently participating in the landmark clinical trial of HIT’s Reverse Hip Replacement System (Reverse HRS)
https://lnkd.in/e3y_jqWR. Results from this pivotal trial will be necessary for the FDA approval of the Reverse HRS.
With a career dedicated to innovation and excellence, Dr. Lombardi’s clinical and research interests include:
• Efficiency optimization in surgical practice
• Rapid rehabilitation protocols for faster post-operative recovery
• Minimally invasive surgical techniques
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Lombardi is deeply committed to advancing the field of orthopaedics. He has served as:
• An oral examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1997
• A reviewer for numerous leading orthopaedic journals
• President of The Hip Society (2011)
• President of The Knee Society (2017)
His impact extends globally through humanitarian efforts as well. As a volunteer surgeon with Operation Walk, Dr. Lombardi has traveled to Nicaragua and Guatemala to provide life-changing care to underserved patients. In 2011, he founded
Operation Walk USA, where he continues to serve as Executive Committee President, delivering charitable orthopaedic care across the United States.
