We’re happy to share a sneak peek of our Civil Construction team’s progress at a PetroChemical Facility on the Texas Gulf Coast for a new Piperack installation. Currently in the middle stages, this latest project is ahead of schedule, on budget, and with zero incidents. What our customer really values about our approach is “Taurus’s dedication to detail and constant craftsmanship. This has enabled us to realize savings through minimized rework, specification adherence, and application of innovation learned from past practices.” Project Highlights: • Demolition & Restoration: Remove and restore existing reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) and concrete trenches. • New Installations: Install new RCP, access roads, and catch basins, and modify existing V ditches. • Foundations & Structures: Construct foundations for pipe racks, equipment, shacks, and supports. • Excavation & Transportation: Manage extensive excavation works and transport excavated materials. • Form Work & Reinforcement: Execute detailed form work and reinforcement, including the installation of anchor bolts. • Concrete Work: Pour, place, and cure a total of 1,159 cubic yards of concrete. • Backfill & Leveling: Complete backfill and leveling with both crushed concrete and onsite material. By the Numbers: • Excavation & Haul Off: 1,241 CY • Form Work: 23,150 SF • Rebar: 165,000 lbs • Anchor Bolts: 920 (all 7/8”+ in diameter) • Concrete: 1,159 CY • Backfill: 3,467 tons (combined crushed concrete and onsite material) • RCP Pipe: 622 LF with multiple catch basins • Driveways: Demo of 7 driveways with 18” RCP Our team’s hard work and dedication ensure that we safely deliver quality and reliability in every project. Gig ‘em!Bob Truhlar liked thisWhen Charlie Dollinger ’26 walked across the graduation stage this spring, he received more than a prized diploma — he secured a century of Dollinger family legacy at Texas A&M University, 150 years after the university started. Beginning with his great-grandfather, Charles “Chick” Dollinger, Class of 1926, nearly 20 Aggies have come from this family, watching Texas A&M evolve from a small-town military college to an internationally recognized university. The family’s stories go back to 1922, when Chick Dollinger spent his freshman year in a tent next to Simpson Drill Field. Filling his journals with details of Aggie victories over the Longhorns, reflections from Final Review and friendships with Yell Leaders, Chick remembered his formative experience at Texas A&M for a lifetime. Now as a fourth-generation Aggie, following his grandfather Jerry Dollinger ’69 and father David Dollinger ’93, Charlie carries on the family’s Aggie Spirit. “Texas A&M has always been a part of our lives,” Charlie said. “It’s an honor for me to carry on the tradition my family started a century ago, and I hope future generations can keep it going.”
