Benjamin Nuttin reposted thisI love the city of Chicago - it is world-class on every metric -culture, architecture, diversity, institutions - not to mention a great foodie & drinking city! - with a welcoming, boisterous, big-shouldered Midwestern attitude. When Lauren (not on LinkedIn 😅 ) and I moved here in 2020, I joined ~35 Stripes in a WeWork at State and Grand. Today we have >550 employees across GTM, Product, Engineering, Recruiting and more, with big plans to expand further (see below + >100 open positions) Stripe is going HUGE in Chicago and the logic is simple: Chicago is a talent magnet with world class corporations at a reasonable price. Like Enterprise tech-sales in general, Chicago is a mis-priced asset and I am beyond thrilled for Stripe to play a small part in helping the city and its people become more economically and socially dynamic by embracing technology. The San Francisco-based company has signed a new lease for more than 222,000 square feet in the office building at 350 N. Orleans St., according to sources familiar with the property. Stripe will occupy the new space in phases over the next couple years, increasing from the roughly 89,000 square feet it leases in the building today. The dramatic growth stands out in a downtown office market reshaped by remote work, with tech companies among the biggest workspace shedders. The tech sector was a key driver of downtown’s pre-pandemic office leasing boom, and a resurgence by companies like Stripe could play a critical role in stabilizing office demand in the city’s urban core. People familiar with the matter said the extra space will make room for a big run of new local hiring. Stripe, which provides payment-processing technology for online purchases and is used by major retailers, has nearly 80 Chicago-based job listings on its website. The product story was amazing with Adaptive Pricing driving a 17.8% cross-border revenue uplift, Stripe Managed Payments opening up 195 countries, the Agentic Commerce Suite letting businesses sell directly inside AI interfaces, Radar now covering Bacs Direct Debit, a new Lloyds Bank partnership, and in Paris a celebration of 10 incredible years in France culminating in us now powering 800k+ businesses, two-thirds of French unicorns, and half the CAC 40. Our SA team showed up in force across both cities, running back-to-back user meetings, powering the booths, and taking to the stage. The depth of knowledge and energy they brought to every single conversation was something to behold. None of it happens without our incredible cross-functional colleagues in sales and services, who were shoulder-to-shoulder with us. And a huge shoutout to our marketing team who turned ExCeL London and the former French Stock Exchange into incredible Stripe showcases, and made it all look effortless. I've spent the last two years learning from her as her Technical Advisor while she was CRO. Watching her build and scale one of the most sophisticated go-to-market engines in the industry was an education I couldn't have gotten anywhere else. Now, I'm thrilled to step into a new role alongside her as her Chief of Staff in this new capacity. On the surface, moving from GTM into the breadth of a Vice Chair role, supporting global business, policy, government relations and so much more, feels like a big shift. But I think these threads are one and the same: advocating for users, getting closer to what they actually need, and making sure the conditions exist for them to grow. That's always been what the best GTM work is about, and it's exactly what Stripe has always stood for. I'm bringing everything I've learned supporting go-to-market into this next chapter. It's a genuine opportunity to drive even more impact, and it's a challenge I don't take lightly. Couldn't be more ready!

Il travaillera aux côtés de Florence Laly, VP Group Treasury and Financing du spécialiste de l'hôtellerie. Une nomination qui illustre la nécessité pour les grands groupes internationaux de structurer une véritable fonction paiement, à la croisée de la trésorerie, des systèmes d’information et de l’expérience client. Dans le secteur de l’hôtellerie et le tourisme, les enjeux de paiement et de trésorerie sont particulièrement structurants : gestion des flux multi-pays, devises, réconciliation, optimisation des coûts, sécurité des transactions, intégration avec les systèmes de trésorerie et pilotage des prestataires. I just returned from Stripe Tour Paris, where I had the chance to speak with businesses of every size and stage. What struck me most was the pace of change. Global commerce is being rewired by AI, new payment rails, and companies that are born global from day one (for example, 1 in 3 customers of French businesses on Stripe now come from outside France). Stripe is uniquely positioned to help businesses capitalize on this moment, and that’s exactly what we are here to do. Last year, businesses on Stripe processed $1.9 trillion in total volume, which is equivalent to roughly 1.6% of global GDP. We power more than 5 million businesses directly or via platforms, including 90% of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, 80% of the Nasdaq 100, and all of the top AI companies. I want to thank Eileen O'Mara, who is moving into the role of Vice Chair, representing us with business, government, and policy leaders around the world. Eileen has built an incredible organization. The go-to-market engine, the global teams, and the customer relationships she developed are extraordinary. The standard she has set is one I take seriously. I wish her all the best in her new role and look forward to our continued partnership. More to come, but for now, my focus from day one is the millions of companies, from solopreneurs to global enterprises, that choose Stripe. My job is to ensure every one of them feels our dedication in how we show up, how we build, and how we help them scale. Along the lines of MCP and A2A, there is a new kid in the block called AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol). AP2 is an extension of A2A protocol specifically to make it easier for autonomous agents to make purchases on your behalf. This is huge leap in the agents world in the sense that agents are not only doing mundane tasks like holiday trip planning or invoice summarization but also can buy products for you when the price reaches a threshold value. The AP2 foundation addresses privacy and security concerns at its core by establishing clear mandates. The current version of the AP2 supports pull payments only (eg credit and debit cards), the future version will have support for push payments such as recurring payments, bank transfers and e-wallets. Overall, agents are not only getting smart but also now get to spend (our) money. Hope they use this power responsibly 😊 #A2A #AgenticAI #AP2
