After over five years of working within the competitive video gaming community (also called eSports), I realized there was a fundamental disconnect between video game event organizers and the gaming community they try connecting with.

Many tournament developers do not have the resources to create a professional website that can be found on search engines, and we all know the pointless value of an ignored Facebook event page, so we set out to build something unique, powerful, and super simple to use.

Tournament Seeker was conceptualized, intelligently designed, and launched on September 1st, 2012. This all-new concept has been described as a search engine for live and online video game tournaments worldwide. Tournament Seeker also provides free and unbiased resources for event organizers as well.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between tournament organizers and the gamers who want to find their next favorite eSports event.

Des Moines Startup Drinks was a monthly networking event for entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts. The event had an established identity, but momentum had dwindling and event organizers were considering shutting down the concept.

With my passion for the evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem and my event development experience, I volunteered to take over the organizer role. By collaborating with local hot spots and supportive sponsors, dmStartupDrinks brewed more invigorating discussions and meaningful connections. While this project was placed on hold, the future of dmStartupDrinks will always be tasty. Show less
