You can get ahead of 99% of FP&A analysts by doing these 5 things 👇🏼 It just so happens that these are the things Exec teams care about ... 1️⃣ Learn the business Understand how the company makes money. 2️⃣ Get accuracy right Nothing destroys credibility faster than wrong numbers. Like forecasting flat staffing cost while revenue doubles (and no, “AI efficiency” won’t save you). 3️⃣ Automate the boring stuff No one got promoted for manual reconciliations. 4️⃣ Simplify everything People don’t remember decimals, they remember direction. 5️⃣ Get fast before you get fancy Speed builds trust. No one cares how elegant your model is if it takes 2 weeks to build. None of us get all 5 right every day. But the more you do, the faster you grow in FP&A.
