If you read a paper you're interested in...email the authors and/or the company. More often than not, you'll get a response, and sometimes they'll even run their new technology against your case (if you have the necessary inputs ready). Read this Nature article about a test from Ataraxis AI that doesn't need tissue sample (huge) and can outperform my previous testing from OncoType: https://lnkd.in/grFEMB29 I would've preferred to have this in 2024, but now I'll use this new data to inform ongoing recurrence management. Jan Witowski MD PhD did this analysis in sub 24 hrs compared to a month with the other test. Send the email! Get your data!

Ashley Young reacted on thisAshley Young reacted on thisThis year I stepped in to lead our AAPI Employee Resource Group, and the best work we did wasn't in anyone's job description. May is Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, and as we move into June, I wanted to highlight the amazing work athenahealth's AAPI ERG put together this past month. Leading this team gave me the chance to direct and build programming alongside an ambitious, passionate, and dedicated group of athenahealth employees, all volunteering their time outside of their day-to-day roles. Together, we planned and executed a full month of programming: a hands-on Mahjong and networking event, curated AAPI snack tastings paired with the cultural stories behind them, the continuation of our AAPI Voices podcast series spotlighting athenahealth's AAPI voices and leaders, a wellness challenge with HR for Mental Health Awareness Month centered on practices rooted in AAPI cultures, from yoga and Tai Chi to meditation, and more. A highlight was hosting Colleen M. Nguyen, MPH, Executive Director of Asian Women for Health, for a powerful talk on inclusive design and building health technology that works for more people. What stands out most isn't the list of events, it's what went into them. Every session was the result of months of behind-the-scenes coordination: scoping ideas, lining up speakers, problem-solving logistics, and showing up again and again to make each event land. This is a team of 20+ people who took on real work on top of already-full plates, not because it was assigned to them, but because they cared about building something meaningful for our community. That kind of effort doesn't happen by accident. It happens because people choose to give their time, energy, and creativity to something bigger than their day-to-day. Thank you to athenahealth AAPI ERG team. I'm proud of what we built together, and even prouder of how we did it. You showed up for each other and for this community all month long, and it showed in every event we ran. As we move into Pride Month, I want to shout out everyone across athenahealth and beyond who keeps showing up to build this kind of programming. The ERG leaders and members pouring time, energy, and care into their communities, almost always outside of what's formally asked of them. It's some of the most meaningful work a company gets, and it rarely lives on a roadmap. To everyone doing it: thank you, and keep going! #athenahealth #ERG #DiversityAndInclusion #AAPIHeritageMonth #AANHPIHeritageMonth

If you caught me at our booth between my puppy visits, I spent the days demoing the platform and running live analyses for our customers, which is a pretty great way to spend a conference. And if we missed each other - let me know & let’s catch up! Big cheers to the whole Salsify team for putting on this event & making it happen! #DigitalShelfSummit #DSS2026

Ashley Young reacted on thisAshley Young reacted on thisAnother Salsify Digital Shelf Summit in the books. While many companies are scaling back their EDI programs, I’m proud to work at a company that continues to promote and celebrate inclusion at the largest event we host each year. Grateful to be part of a team creating space for meaningful conversations, community, and impact through our ERGs at #2026DSS. So thankful for my fellow ERG Leads — we’ve worked incredibly hard to keep this program growing and thriving, and it was amazing to see all of that hard work come to life this week.

Ashley Young reacted on thisAshley Young reacted on thisI just got back from my “Salsifive,” a five-week sabbatical that Salsify offers employees after five years at the company (amazing, I know!). I managed to truly unplug while also visiting Amsterdam, taking a solo trip through Paris and Provence, and attending a friend’s wedding in Medellín. It was a whirlwind in the best way. A few things I’m bringing home with me: Movement matters. In Europe, I found myself walking 17–20k steps a day which, compared to a typical day, is… let's just say many more steps than usual 😅 But I loved moving through the day instead of sitting through it, and I could feel how much my mind and body needed that rhythm. My commitment: some form of activity every day, even if it’s not a stroll along an Amsterdam canal. Embrace spontaneity. As a working mom of two boys, my life runs on a tight schedule: school drop-off, work, school pick-up, dinner, bedtime, repeat. Wandering solo through Paris and Provence with no agenda reminded me how much joy there is in not optimizing every hour. Some of my favorite moments came from taking a left turn instead of a right one just because, or stopping into a café purely because I loved the décor. My commitment: plan a little less and rediscover the joy of doing things on a whim. Let your mind wander. This trip made me realize how rarely I’m alone with my own thoughts. Normally, if I’m not on a call, I’m listening to music, a podcast, or an audiobook. I made a point during sabbatical to put my headphones away and be more present in my surroundings. It gave my brain space to "breathe", reflect, and even think about work in a more creative way. I came home feeling more energized and inspired than I have in a long time. My commitment: more quiet moments in my day to give my mind an opportunity to wander instead of focus. This sabbatical was amazing. I really came home feeling like a better version of myself. I'm so grateful to my village for holding things together while I was away, and to Salsify for offering a benefit that truly supports employee wellbeing. And the timing of my return couldn’t have been better! My first day back last week was at our annual Digital Shelf Summit, reconnecting with colleagues, customers, and partners, diving back into everything happening in agentic commerce. I’m energized and ready for everything 2026 has in store. Let's go!
