Since September of this year, EV chargers installed through our PowerReady incentives tripled within NYC and Westchester. This is an exciting time for customers to make the switch without worrying about range anxiety. "The market for EV chargers is beginning to blossom in New York,” said Gregory Elcock, Vice President of Energy Efficiency and Distributed Resource Integration. “PowerReady was designed to accelerate this climate-critical market and that’s exactly what we see happening on the ground. Being able to reach heights of 60 feet and travel an estimated 135 miles, it's more than capable to help our crews get through a typical workday. “A generational change is rippling across the transportation sector, and we’re excited to get the keys to what’s not only our first all-electric bucket truck, but one of the first in the nation,” said Chief Automative Engineer Fortunato Gulino. Here are some highlights: • Our Director of Emergency Preparedness, Deanne Ostrowski talked about the importance of work-life balance and bringing your whole self to work. • The panel of offshore wind, made up of women from across the energy and renewables industry discussed how these projects will create local jobs and increase the regions use of renewables. • New York State Department of Public Service, Commissioner Diane Burman discussed how she is continuously growing and evolving with the industry, and the importance of trust and safety in the workplace. #ConEdison

Over the years we’ve built beautiful careers, faced innumerable challenges (9/11, deregulation, the worm computer virus, the NYC blackout, Super Storm Sandy, the pandemic, plus many more) where we learned so much, leaned on each other, and cut our teeth. Antonio Porras liked thisAntonio Porras liked thisWrapping up Earth Month at Con Edison feeling really grateful 🌎 We kicked off Earth Week with our partners at Washington Square Park Conservancy— getting outside, giving back, and supporting our local community. From there, it was all about engagement: supporting Supply Chain Sustainability’s Supplier Sustainability Showcase, contributing to our ESCA (Employee Sustainability Culture Ambassadors) Earth Day panel, and connecting with employees across multiple locations through tabling. Along the way, we promoted simple, everyday ways to think more sustainably at work (and handed out wildflower seeds and tree saplings 🌼🌱). We closed out Earth Week on the Green Roof at the Con Edison Learning Center, and to wrap up the month, we relaunched our branded clothing recycling program across multiple facilities, working with Wearable Collections to make it easier for employees to take part in more circular practices. For me, Earth Month is really about connection—helping employees understand their role in protecting the environment, supporting safe operations, and making sustainability feel real and accessible in our day-to-day work.
