With blue skies overhead and great partners by our side, OCI Energy celebrated the start of construction on the Alamo City BESS, and the energy on site matched the moment. This isn’t just our first groundbreaking in years - it’s a defining step forward. Once complete, this 120 MW / 480 MWh project will help power about 30,000 homes, add flexibility to the ERCOT grid, and strengthen how our community is served during peak demand. Andre Sirhan liked thisOCI Energy and Arava Power Company announced the execution of a Membership Interest Purchase Agreement (MIPA) for the 670 MWdc La Salle Solar project in La Salle County, Texas. Under the agreement, Arava Power will acquire a 50% ownership stake, with both companies jointly financing, constructing, owning, and operating the utility-scale solar project. The La Salle Solar project represents the largest single-site solar development completed through the partnership between OCI Energy and Arava Power and marks the third collaboration between the two companies in the Texas renewable energy market. Once operational, the facility is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power approximately 100,000 homes. Construction is expected to begin later in 2026, with commercial operations targeted for 2028. Sabah Bayatli, President of OCI Energy, said the La Salle Solar project demonstrates the company’s ability to execute large-scale renewable energy developments through strong partnerships and deep market expertise in Texas. Being part of this journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I am proud of what we’ve achieved together. A huge thank you to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication. Together, we’ve taken a significant step towards a more sustainable future.Andre Sirhan liked thisToday we are announcing commercial operation of our 134 MWdc Liberty Solar project near #Houston! To recognize this milestone, we hosted project customers including Autodesk, Biogen, EMD Electronics and Wayfair and other project partners on site for a guided tour and ribbon cutting ceremony. Attendees had the chance to learn more about solar energy and how this project is supporting the local #grid. Liberty Solar expands solar energy capacity in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) market and will produce enough energy to power approximately 15,000 homes annually. See project Designed and manufactured a mechanism that converts a traditional H-Pattern shifted Tremec T-5 transmission into a sequential shifted transmission via Fusion 360 and machine shop equipment.
Reduced the cost of sequential transmission by 1000% by creating a cost-effective and viable alternative that also decreases the potential for driver error. Decreased the amount of manual input needed to change gears.
