Personal Mobility Platform
Designed and built a Personal Mobility Platform, an electric scooter as a final year project. Personal Electric Vehicles are a new breed of private transportation devices. It has one steerable, powered wheel in front and two independently connected wheels at the back. It is intended for use in large IT parks, factories, malls, airports, police patrolling etc.
The front wheel is driven by a brushless electric motor. The driver stands on a cuboidal platform that is connected to the steering…Designed and built a Personal Mobility Platform, an electric scooter as a final year project. The front wheel is driven by a brushless electric motor. The driver stands on a cuboidal platform that is connected to the steering column through a bearing housing. The rear wheels are independently connected to either side of the platform by hubs which contain roller bearings. The battery and control unit are placed at the bottom of the platform.
This form of transport saves an immense amount of critical time, money and energy. It is also emission free and thus environment friendly and suitable for indoor application. -
