Amanda Ashberry, MBA shared thisA year and a half after beginning my MBA journey, it is complete! Thank you to all of the outstanding professors at The Citadel’s Tommy & Victoria Baker School of Business. I’ve learned so much throughout the MBA program, and I am so thankful I chose The Citadel! 🎓 Today, I started a new position within Wells Fargo Private Bank as a Fiduciary Specialist. After two years as an Investment and Fiduciary Services Associate with the bank, I am excited for this next step in my career! With this new position came a relocation back to the Philadelphia area! While I’ll miss sunny Charleston, SC, I am so excited and thankful to be closer to family again! Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2022!! And now that I’m back in Philly… Go Birds 🦅

Amanda Ashberry, MBA shared thisAn interesting read about the current state of the market and unemployment. Though unemployment rates have seemed to decline recently, it's important to recognize the change in labor force participation that may be impacting this measure.

Amanda Ashberry, MBA shared thisAmanda Ashberry, MBA shared thisProud to see our CEO, Michele Buck, named once again to the Fortune Magazine “Most Powerful Women in Business” list. In naming Michele, Fortune cites how she is addressing increased competition and consumers who say they want healthier fare and also point to Hershey’s nearly 4% sales growth last year, and our record stock price in September. Fortune says that Michele has “hit her stride.” We agree! Congratulations Michele! #ImHershey #HERshey

Since joining KU in 2017, she has championed student success, introduced in-demand academic programs, and led meaningful innovations. Her collaborative spirit and commitment to both students and faculty have left a lasting mark on the College. Thank you, Dr. Carroll, for your leadership and legacy.

Amanda Ashberry, MBA reacted on thisAmanda Ashberry, MBA reacted on thisI’m not usually one to reflect publicly as we wrap up a year, but 2025 was different. A year that had everything: loss, growth, pressure, and perspective. From losing my mom in January, to getting married in April, stepping into a pilot role at Moore Johannesburg, being hospitalised with meningitis, completing two Hyrox events, and becoming an international rugby player - this year pushed the mental toughness to new limits. One thing became abundantly clear to me as the year went on: progress often disguises itself as discomfort. Showing up consistently, especially when times are tough, matters far more than getting everything perfect. The hard moments force you to dig deep and question everything; the good ones remind you why you do it. Looking forward to a short reset before heading into 2026 with higher standards, new goals, and clearer focus.

Amanda Ashberry, MBA liked thisAmanda Ashberry, MBA liked thisHad a great day at Kutztown University College of Business Career Day talking with students about marketing and my path to a job I love at Discover Lancaster. It was wonderful to see some familiar faces, meet industry professionals who are crushing it at their companies, and talk with students that are excited about their futures. Thank you, COB for having me! 🐻⭐️

Amanda Ashberry, MBA liked thisAmanda Ashberry, MBA liked thisA small moment of reflection today: One of the participants from a recent AI course I taught stopped me in the hallway to share how he and his team are now putting what they learned into practice. He lit up as he described the ways they’re using AI to streamline processes, unlock new insights, and free up time for more meaningful work. Moments like this reinforce an important point: AI is most powerful when it augments the workforce, not replaces it. The goal isn’t to remove the human element—it’s to empower it. What I continue to see is that many organizations are just beginning to uncover what’s possible. There are still so many untapped opportunities to responsibly leverage AI and automation in ways that support strategy, efficiency, and innovation. Helping teams explore those opportunities—through practical education, tailored solutions, and a focus on responsible adoption—is the part of this journey I’m most excited about.
