Amanda Webb, PMP liked thisAmanda Webb, PMP liked thisAfter three years of learning, reflection, and growth, I’m grateful to have completed the Executive Conscious program through the Truist Leadership Institute. This journey included three incredible courses in Mastering Leadership Dynamics, Leading Culture Change and Engagement, and Strategic Thinking in a Complex World. Each challenged me to think differently about leadership and provided practical tools that I know will continue to shape how I lead. One lesson that will stay with me is the importance of staying grounded in your strategic goals while intentionally identifying, understanding, and partnering with your stakeholders. Lasting results are rarely achieved alone. The strongest outcomes come from building trust, aligning around shared objectives, and working together as one team. I’m incredibly thankful to Truist for investing in my development and creating opportunities like this. It’s a privilege to work for an organization that believes in developing its leaders and recognizes that continuous learning benefits both our teammates and the clients and communities we serve. A heartfelt thank you to my instructors (Jenni Marsh, Oscar Santos, and Duane McClure, DM-OL, ACC) for your guidance, encouragement, and willingness to challenge me to think differently. Thank you as well to everyone that’s provided me feedback over the years and my cohorts for your openness, honest feedback, and the relationships we built along the way. Learning alongside such talented leaders made this experience even more meaningful. While this program has come to an end, the learning certainly hasn’t. Looking back, the answers came from the people around me — our team, our partners, and the communities we serve. This fall, we will welcome the most diverse class in Colorado College history. We deepened students’ career-readiness through our Career Catalyst program. We confirmed that the path ahead includes new and expanded science facilities as we ensure our infrastructure matches our students’ ambitions. None of it happened in a vacuum. To everyone who encouraged me, supported the mission, and showed up every day: thank you. A special thanks to my parents, who’ve always let me carve my own path while they cleared the way ahead. After 4 months off I am excited to announce that I have the opportunity after nearly 8-years to return to Ameriprise Financial Services as the Chief Compliance Officer for their Clearing Firm, American Enterprise Investment Services. Having started my career with, and spent 20-years to the day at this great firm, I left to explore the industry and learn more about it, and myself. Stepping outside of my comfort zone allowed me to test my leadership skills in new environments, navigate fresh challenges, learn more about the areas firms and customers rely upon to get things right and expand my toolkit to better serve the teams I lead and the customers I support. I cannot wait to reconnect with old colleagues while staying close to my industry peers to navigate the next chapters in our industry and for my new/old firm. I am older, hopeful that I'm wiser, and energized by the new opportunity! #Ameriprise #Leadership #NextChapter #Gratitude.

Amanda Webb, PMP reacted on thisExactly four months ago, I became part of a workforce reduction after almost 16 years with the same company. Like many people who experience an unexpected career transition, I felt a mix of emotions including uncertainty, disappointment, hope, and most of all, determination! Over the past four months, I've spent time reflecting, networking (which doesn't always come naturally to me), learning, interviewing, and exploring what I truly wanted in the next chapter of my career. Today, I'm excited to share that I've accepted a full-time role that feels like the right fit at the right time. Along the way, someone told me that closed doors create space for new opportunities. Looking back now, I have to say to those closed doors: thank you. This experience has reminded me that growth often begins where certainty ends, and that sometimes the opportunities we never planned for turn out to be exactly what we needed. To anyone currently navigating a job search, career transition, or unexpected setback: keep going. The right opportunity can arrive when you least expect it. Here's to new beginnings, new opportunities, and the journey ahead!

Our campuses in San Diego and Fort Mill, S.C. felt more like neighborhood festivals than a day at the office—local food, live music, and a lot of ways to relax and connect with teammates (and their families). It’s a day I look forward to every year. And if you saw me playing cornhole, I’ve got some reps to get in.
