If someone doesn’t take great joy in writing, don’t hire them. Why would they want the job? The most creative writers I have ever worked with got into it because they deeply enjoy the process. They took so much pride in coming up with a headline/tagline/joke. They loved it so much they had several novels or other writing projects going on the side.
Ai takes the sense of accomplishment away. If you tell someone, “this is great, more of this please,” do they share the good news with ChatGpt?
And if they think writing is not important enough to spend time on and do well, it says a lot about what’s to come on the job.

Amanda Halm liked thisAmanda Halm liked thisIf you're handing your writers AI-generated drafts to "polish," "add the human touch," or "take over the finish line," just remember: You're asking them to edit, not write. And editing and writing are distinct skills. They're not the same thing. Some people can do both, sure. But some of the best writers I know are terrible editors. And some of the best editors I know are terrible writers. For some writers, having borderline passable AI copy in front of them is a mental block. They'll leave a lot of that copy untouched because that's not how they've trained their minds to work over years of sharpening their skills. I get it. It's efficient — maybe, for some — to start with a mostly written draft. But you need to know your team and their skills well before you start doing that. It could hurt a lot more than it helps.

I developed a fundraising program for the Burlesque Hall of Fame through a friendly acquisition of GlitterTix, a ticketing portal for burlesque and cabaret events. In this program, event producers have the option to add an additional fee of $0.35 or $1.00 to their ticket price, of which 100% goes to fund the Burlesque Hall of Fame, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit museum dedicated to preserving the legacy of burlesque.
