For the last few months, I’ve been quietly building in the lab with Jacinto Salz. Jacinto is a commercial Director who has spent thousands of hours in the edit bay. He lived the pain of the "Rough Cut"—the 40% of post-production spent just organizing footage before the creativity starts. He came to me with a logic system he manually reverse-engineered to survive a crushing deadline. He asked if we could automate it. My background at Tavus (YC S21) was all about scaling AI video infrastructure. But this challenge was different. Most AI video tools treat video like text—searching for keywords. But pros don’t edit by keywords. They edit by intonation, pacing, and breath. So we built Threadline Studio. It is the first AI Narrative Engine for professional video. It listens to how a story is told, not just what is said, and generates broadcast-ready XML files for Premiere Pro and Resolve. We are automating the drudgery so editors can focus on the art.
