The business impact of this project saved the company resources and cost for paper delivery. eDelivery also included a notifications service to trigger notification emails and a merge/split service to maintain data integrity across the company for customers who split or merge accounts. The project included 10 Spring Boot Microservices, 1 Database, and a devops pipelines built for each microservice in Jenkins to handle deployment into test and production servers.

    - Led a team of 10+ developers and test engineers as the technical lead and worked
closely with the solutions architect to design and implement 10 core paperless
delivery microservices, enabling Allstate to deliver customer documents and billing
electronically, saving on costs and time for physical mailing.
    - Optimized troubleshooting and code readability with a single responsibility
philosophy, reducing the time spent on fixing defects and insertion of new features.
    - Designed and implemented a Relational Database with MsSQL to store customer
enrollment records into the paperless delivery program with auditing features to
    track customer transactions.
    - Fostered strong collaboration between engineers and test engineers to synchronize
both teams on functional, integration, and performance testing with no defects in
    production reported to our team.
    - Played a critical role in maintaining deployment pipelines in Jenkins and
coordinating a successful release into production in March 2022 with ongoing
    support in 2023.

  • Solus

Solus is a space exploration puzzle game that focuses on the effects of distance on communication and the loneliness of the player. Solus is my final project to be done for graduation.

As the team lead, I pitched the initial concept for Solus and now have more than 10 students on the team contributing to the project. Over the course of two weeks, we created two prototypes in Unity and Twine, although we’re planning to complete the project in the Unreal Engine.

Other than leading the creative direction of the game, I will also be contributing 3D assets to the game. Since the initial artwork in the featured image, the art direction has changed to a more realistic style.

As a 3D artist, I contributed 3D assets made in Blender to build a fully destructible city around the player. I followed the art direction as instructed by the lead artist and painted my own textures for some models.

Being my first project as a team, it was an opportunity to solidify my workflow from concept to finished piece. One major challenge I encountered was making each asset capable of destruction and as a team, we went through many iterations of the same asset to have it break…

Being my first project as a team, it was an opportunity to solidify my workflow from concept to finished piece. One major challenge I encountered was making each asset capable of destruction and as a team, we went through many iterations of the same asset to have it break properly in the Unreal Engine.

Eye of the Giant was nominated for the Visual, Technical, and Peer Choice Awards at the Sammy’s.
