This weekend marks the brand’s racing debut as the ‘Official Cerveza of RFK Racing,’ with Modelo serving as the primary sponsor on the No. 6 Ford Mustang Dark Horse driven by NASCAR Champion Brad Keselowski at Watkins Glen International. Fans will see the No. 6 car roll out in a navy-and-gold design that reflects the brand's premium identity – a bold, unmistakable presence on the racetrack. “Modelo has always embodied the Mark of a Fighter – celebrating the people who show up with grit, pride, and the will to earn it,” said Rene Ramos, Senior Vice President of Brand Activation. “That same mentality is what we see in RFK Racing and in champion Brad Keselowski. Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits remains by far the top distributor of wine and spirits in the U.S. with revenue projected at $25.5 billion this year. It’s now been 10 years since the formation of the company via the merger of Southern Wine & Spirits and Glazer’s Distributors, and while the combination has outperformed the expectations of its founding families, its evolution is continuing apace. In particular, says CEO Wayne Chaplin, Southern Glazer’s is now focused on cementing its status as a leading distributor of not only wine and spirits but total beverage alcohol and non-alc drinks as well, as category lines continue to blur.
