I was on my usual weekend run, double stroller with both kids, dog trotting alongside. It was hot, I was sweaty, and getting our crew out the door can be chaotic. But it's also the thing that keeps me sane. I had stopped to deal with a meltdown over spilled Cheerios. I got everyone settled and into position to start running again when a stranger walked past and caught my eye for a second, just long enough to see whatever was written all over my face. 😅 They said, "you got this." Nothing else, just that. They saw me. The stroller, the dog, the tired, the whole circus act. That person had no idea what my morning looked like, and it didn't cost them anything to say it, but it changed my mood for the rest of the day. I think about this at work too. We build recognition programs and feedback frameworks, and those matter, but sometimes the biggest impact comes from something way smaller: noticing what someone is doing and saying so. Something as simple as "I see what you're working on and it's making a difference" doesn't cost much to say but it can be the difference between someone dragging through the rest of their day and finding a little more in the tank. Here’s to saying something when you see it. ❤️

That sentence would have sounded ridiculous to an earlier version of me. I went there to interview executives at Microsoft about AI, GitHub, and what’s changing next. But honestly, the bigger realization had nothing to do with Microsoft. It was this: The internet changed the leverage equation completely. You no longer need permission from traditional institutions to build a career, audience, or reputation. A YouTube channel can become a media company. A LinkedIn post can open doors to rooms you never imagined entering. One idea can connect you to people who once felt completely inaccessible. Most people still underestimate this. They use these platforms passively. The people who win use them intentionally. And I think some of the insights are going to surprise people. Watch the full interview on YouTube!

Render is a technical product. We build cloud infrastructure for developers, which means designing for real complexity: runtimes, deploys, agentic workloads... the systems people actually ship on. It's rare to get to do craft-forward work this close to the metal, and that's exactly what these roles are. I'm looking for people who can hold that complexity and make it feel clear and considered: strong portfolios, high standards, and the kind of presence that makes a team better. And you'd be doing it at a company where the founder is the CEO, and he genuinely cares about design and about people. You'll also get to work alongside a kind and talented group who all want each other to succeed. Everything we now call beautiful began as the *wrong* thing. The impressionists were lunatics for a decade, baroque literally meant bad taste for a hundred years Taste is liking it an hour before everyone else likes the same thing. That's why taste is fluid and has an expiration date. It changes the moment it becomes consensus This is precisely why I think human design is not dead. AI will hand you everything the world already agrees is good, but it can't want what the world does not want yet. It's betting on the tail of the distribution before it becomes the head
