"Never outsource your thinking" That was the collective answer to every AI question at the the ConFig Watch Party 2026, hosted by Friends of Figma, Hyderabad Our Founder & CEO Karthik Sutrave joined the panel alongside some brilliant minds: → Hrishikesh Deshmukh, Director of Product Design at Seismic → Varsha Kakati, Vice President & India Country Leader at TriNet with Abhinav Guptha keeping the questions sharp. The room was full of curious designers from across the country, every level of expertise, all circling one tension: when AI can build anything, what's left that's actually ours? → The answer kept coming back to judgment. The tools got good. Too good. Anyone can ship, anyone can design, anyone can market now. So the tool stops being the edge. What's left is the ability to look at a hard problem and decide. To sit in the mess instead of handing it to a machine. That reframed the whole hiring conversation too. It's no longer "AI will replace us." It's "AI will show who was actually thinking all along." A room full of people, every experience level, giving up a Sunday to figure this out together. The tools will keep changing. Everyone's adding AI to their workflow. I deleted mine. Then I rebuilt it around one question: Which parts of this actually need a human? I split the work into two buckets. Humans are best at judgment. Taste. Intent. Deciding if this is even the right thing to build. AI is best at holding every detail at once. Forgetting nothing. Treating the thousandth check with the same care as the first. The old way runs on documents built for humans to read. A brief. A PRD. A spec. Wireframes. Test plans. Each one handed down the chain until the developer drowns in paperwork and still asks 50 questions. Six roles. Six handoffs. Context bleeding at every junction. The new way runs on one thing built for AI to act on. I think out loud. Raw intent, in plain language. What we're building, who it's for, why it matters. That's the entire input. What used to take a team weeks comes back fully worked out. My job isn't to do that work. It's to know if the answer is right. So the team judges. Together. Each through the lens they own: Founder, the intent. PM, the scope. Developer, the architecture. UI, the experience. QA, where it breaks. Support, what users actually live with. Here's the part most people miss. Getting AI to write code is easy now. The hard part is making sure it's production-ready. That every piece connects in the right direction. That it holds up when real users depend on it, not just when it demos well. That's the difference between vibe coding and what we do. Vibe coding takes whatever the model gives you. We don't. Human judgment sets direction. Agentic execution does the work. Something keeps it pointed at production-grade, every time. We call that PRISM. How PRISM works is a longer story than one post can hold. This isn't a prototype. As a team, we've run the full cycle. Real production code. Real users depending on it. That's what AI-first means here. Not a tech stack. An org design. Human judgment. Agentic execution. We call it vibe engineering. We're building a team around this. People with deep domain expertise and the judgment that only comes from it. The taste, the instinct, the calls you make from experience, not instruction. Bring that. We pair it with AI.
