  • Why do so many social housing contracts look perfect on paper, but unravel during mobilisation? For a long time, procurement followed a predictable rhythm: define the scope, run the tender, appoint the provider, and manage KPIs. But the landscape has changed. Between the Procurement Act and tightening regulatory frameworks, static contracts and reporting aren’t enough anymore. The real risk isn’t capability, it’s the structural gap between procurement and live operations. In our latest newsletter, we unpack the shift to active accountability in social housing and look at how to stop mobilisation from becoming the exact point where assumptions fall apart. • Anyone can offer 24/7 callouts. That’s not the test. The test is what happens when the call comes in at 2:13 AM. Most providers default to one of two things: Speed or standards. At the Wiggett Group, we don’t separate them. Because emergency work doesn’t just test technical ability, it exposes operational values. For us, being available round the clock isn't just about answering the phone. It's about bringing total accountability to every single doorstep, no matter the hour. If you’re looking for a partner that treats your urgent repairs with the highest priority, drop us a DM to learn more about our services.

  • The Wiggett Group has officially been awarded the King’s Award 2026 for Promoting Opportunities. One of the UK’s highest honours for businesses. Meeting His Majesty was an incredible privilege for Reece and a moment that none of us will forget. Later this year, Reece will officially receive the award from the Vice Lord Lieutenant at the presentation ceremony. This recognition belongs to every member of our team who turns our values into action every single day. Because growth only matters if the people around you grow with you 👏 Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey! #KingsAwards #KingsAwards2026 #BusinessExcellence #Proud #TeamSuccess

  • Social value isn’t what you write in a tender. It’s what people remember long after the project is complete. Today, clients expect more than just promises. They want measurable outcomes: more local jobs, more apprenticeships, and stronger communities. That’s why we don’t treat social value as a checkbox. We build it into the way we work. • We create job opportunities that continue far beyond the initial contract. • We invest in apprenticeships that lead to permanent roles, not short-term placements. • We work alongside local partners to leave a lasting positive footprint where we operate. Success isn’t measured solely by compliant buildings. It’s measured by the people and communities that are stronger because we were there. At the Wiggett Group, compliance and social value go hand in hand! Find out more about how we deliver both in the comments 👇

  • In social housing, policies are written in the boardroom… But compliance is delivered on the doorstep. With the phased introduction of Awaab’s Law and tighter regulatory expectations, the stakes for landlords and contractors are rising. Compliance is no longer just about paperwork. It depends on how quickly and consistently change is understood and applied on the frontline. In this week's newsletter, we explore a simple truth: an organisation’s compliance is only as strong as its supply chain’s capability. The challenge isn't rewriting procedures; it's making sure every team member understands them before they arrive at a resident's door. Read the full edition below 👇

  • The future of electrical compliance isn't built with technology alone. It's built by the people passing on what they know. At Wiggett Group, every experienced engineer carries a responsibility beyond delivering projects. They’re developing the next generation. Our senior engineers pass on decades of compliance knowledge and safety expertise to our apprentices. It’s not just about how to do the work, but why safety, standards, and respect for communities matter. For those who've worked in the industry: What's the one lesson every apprentice should learn before they ever pick up their tools?

  • Compliance isn’t just about meeting regulations… It’s about shaping a more sustainable future. As the UK moves towards net-zero, upgrading electrical infrastructure across social housing and the public sector is becoming more important. The right investment delivers more than compliance. It improves safety, increases energy efficiency, reduces carbon emissions, and lowers long-term operating costs. At the Wiggett Group, we help clients deliver projects that combine compliance, safety, and sustainability to create lasting value for the communities they serve. How is your organisation balancing changing compliance requirements with sustainability goals?

  • When you’re delivering safety services in occupied social housing, everyone has a part to play. As we’ve grown from a family-run business into a team of more than 200, one thing hasn’t changed: Nobody carries the pressure alone. When operational teams need support, people step in. When workloads increase, managers get involved. When communities need help, our teams volunteer together. It’s people supporting each other because they know the work matters. Because residents don’t care which department someone works in, they care that the service is delivered safely, reliably and with respect. That culture creates stronger teams. What’s the best example of teamwork you’ve experienced at work?
