    A year ago, Steven Farrell, CSP was drowning. On the applicant side: 48-hour response times, and only 17% of applicants were being screened. On the operations side: 75% of inbound calls missed. NPS was down to 2.5. Then his CEO handed him a mandate every operator dreads: grow EBITDA dramatically. Without adding a single hire. Steve is COO at Your Employment Solutions, a 30-year staffing firm in Utah. He found Whippy and turned on our AI Recruiter, AI Receptionist, and Workflow Automations.     Screen. Hire. Place. That's the job description for every staffing agency in the country. More than half of them can't do step one anymore. In 2024, we tested hundreds of staffing agencies and only 60% responded to the perfect candidate. In 2026, that's down to 43.5%. Every one of these agencies has more automation and AI available to them now than they did in 2024. 56.5% of agencies now sit on the exact candidate they're supposed to be looking for. Not because the candidate is wrong. Because nobody called them back. At least direct hire employers make staffig agencies look good. They responded even less, 23.9%. If you're job hunting right now, that's still your best bet. An industry that ignores you half the time, beating one that ignores you three quarters of the time.     We just made one of the most important hires in our company's history. Welcome Joe Chen, our new Head of Customer Success. Why do we think the position is so important? Our customers continue to build deeper and deeper agent based workflows and they rely on us not only to be the technical infrastructure but also the consulting force to achieve their goals and desired ROI. To do so we need a team of Customer Success experts who always come prepared, as Whippy experts, to help our clients drive increases in EBITDA. That team must be led by a true leader of the craft. Why Joe? First off Joe comes from Customer.io where he helped the company scale to over $100M in ARR. He led a team of CSMs that went deep into automation, workflows and data driven results. But more than that we went all in on Joe because of who he is. David Daneshgar spent over 40 hours with Joe throughout the process. Jack Kennedy flew to Atlanta to meet him in person. He prepared throughout the entire process to an extreme. Watched all our webinars, read all our documentation and even sent detailed notes on our customer calls at midnight because that is his work ethic and flat out passion. You always want to find someone who is truly passionate and wants to get 1% better every day. Joe is a student of movement and fluidity, and that is no accident. At Whippy, movement is not a buzzword, it is how we operate. New products, new integrations, new verticals. We do not slow down and this role is not for the faint of heart. We needed someone who does not just tolerate change but thrives in it, someone whose entire philosophy is built around adapting, improvising, and finding what is missing and solving for it.     If you're a staffing firm spending $178,000 a year on job boards and taking 2.5 days to respond to applicants, you're not losing candidates to better jobs. You're losing them to faster competitors. Here's what's actually happening. - A candidate applies on Indeed. - Your recruiters are busy. - 2.5 days go by. By then that candidate has already started somewhere else, because the firm that texted them back in 60 seconds locked them in before you even opened the application.
