  • ☁️ When .NET, TypeScript, and cloud-native architecture meet, you get a talk made for developers who build real distributed systems. Miroslav Janeski is joining What The Stack! He is Technical Director at Init, Microsoft MVP for Cloud-Native and .NET, and a well-known voice in the local .NET community. Many of you already know him from the monthly Macedonian .NET meetups, where he regularly shares knowledge, experience, and practical lessons from the field. With more than 15 years of software engineering experience, he has worked across ed-tech, Industrial IoT, e-government, automotive, banking, finance, embedded systems, and cloud development based on .NET and Azure. At #WhatTheStack, Miroslav will present “TypeScript AppHost: The Next Step for Polyglot Cloud-Native Apps”. Cloud-native development often means jumping between Docker Compose files, YAML, launch settings, scripts, and infrastructure configuration. In this talk, Miroslav will show how the new TypeScript AppHost support in Aspire can help developers orchestrate distributed applications using a familiar application model, but entirely in TypeScript. 📅 September 19 | Skopje 🎟️ Grab your ticket now: https://wts.sh/ #WhatTheStack #DotNet #TypeScript #Azure #CloudNative #Developers #Skopje

  • 🎤 If JavaScript error handling ever ruined your day, Andrej Acevski has a talk you’ll want to hear. Andrej Acevski is a Product Engineer at Tolt, open-source maintainer, and creator of Kaneo, a self-hosted open-source project management tool. At #WhatTheStack, he will present “I Stopped Throwing Errors and My Code Finally Works” 🍻 JavaScript error handling can get messy fast. Silent promise failures, nested try/catch blocks, async edge cases, and TypeScript not always knowing what can go wrong. In this talk, Andrej will roast the chaos, introduce Effect, and show how typed errors, retries, observability, dependency injection, and better structure can make TypeScript applications easier to reason about. Expect practical demos, hot takes, and the big question: is this genius or overkill? 📅 September 19 | Skopje 🎟️ Grab your ticket now: https://wts.sh/

  • 🎤 Next on the What The Stack agenda: Faris Aziz Faris is a Staff Software Engineer at Smallpdf, co-founder of ZurichJS, international conference speaker, and product-minded engineer with deep experience in React, Next.js, resilient web architecture, payments, monetization systems, and developer experience. His path into tech was anything but traditional. He started from a coding bootcamp straight after high school, previously worked as a CrossFit instructor, and built his way up through startups, scale-ups, and global companies to become a Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, and later Staff Engineer. At #WhatTheStack, he will present “Reverse-Engineering Seniority, From Bootcamp Grad to Staff Engineer in Four Years” Faris will talk about what actually matters for career growth, how to build credibility when you are moving fast, how to learn in practice, and how ambition changes once you understand what seniority really means. A talk for junior developers, people feeling stuck, and anyone who wants to grow faster, but with more clarity. 📅 September 19 | Skopje 🎟️ Grab your ticket now: https://wts.sh/ #WhatTheStack #Frontend #React #EngineeringLeadership #CareerGrowth #Developers #Skopje

  • 🎤 You probably already know Stefan Andonov, one of those FCSE assistants who can explain complex things in a very developer-friendly way, and an active member of the local IT community. Stefan is a Teaching & Research Assistant and PhD Candidate at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in Skopje, and Data & ML Team Lead at Loka. At #WhatTheStack, he will present “Stop Engineering Features. Start Learning Graphs.” 🧠 Every ML pipeline eventually faces the same problem: your data lives in relational databases, but your model wants one flat table. So we join, aggregate, and hand-craft features, often just to bring back the context that was already there in the relationships between tables. Stefan’s talk will go into graphs, graph neural networks, and relational deep learning, showing how models can learn directly from database relationships instead of relying only on manually engineered features. 📅 September 19 | Skopje 🎟️ Grab your ticket now: https://wts.sh/ #WhatTheStack #MachineLearning #DataScience #Graphs #AI #Skopje #TechConference

  • 🎤 Alexander Lichter is joining What The Stack! Alex is a Developer Relations Engineer at VoidZero, a Nuxt.js team member, Web Engineering Consultant, and open-source enthusiast. If you follow the modern JavaScript and Vue ecosystem, chances are you already know his videos, talks, workshops, or the DejaVue Podcast. At #WhatTheStack, Alex will talk about “(When) Do We Finally Have a Unified Toolchain?” ⚙️ JavaScript developers know the pain: too many tools, too many choices, too much plumbing before you even start building. In this session, Alex will explore what a truly unified toolchain could look like, how Vite+ fits into that story, and whether it can help developers focus less on setup and more on shipping, especially in the age of AI agents. 📅 September 19 | Skopje 🎟️ Grab your ticket now: https://wts.sh/

  • 🎤 We are excited to welcome Gerald Versluis to the What The Stack stage! Gerald is a software engineer at Microsoft, working on the .NET MAUI team and helping build one of the most important cross-platform frameworks in the .NET ecosystem. If you are building apps for iOS, Android, macOS, or Windows with C# and .NET, there is a good chance his work is already part of your developer journey. He is also a well-known speaker in the international tech community, with talks and content focused on .NET, .NET MAUI, GitHub Copilot, AI-powered developer tools, and the future of software engineering. At #WhatTheStack, Gerald will deliver the keynote “I’m a Software Engineer at Microsoft. I Don’t Write Code.” 🤖 A talk about moving from AI skepticism to AI-native engineering, about what changes when AI writes most of the code, and why the real skill was never typing syntax, but thinking clearly and solving problems. 📅 September 19 | Skopje 🎟️ Grab your ticket now: https://wts.sh/ #WhatTheStack #DotNet #DotNetMAUI #GitHubCopilot #AI #SoftwareEngineering #Skopje

  • 🎤 Kiril Zafirov is back at What The Stack! Many of you already know Kiril from the previous edition of the conference, and of course, from the Angular community in Macedonia. He is an Angular Developer, founder of Angular Macedonia, and one of the people who keeps the local frontend scene active, curious, and connected. This year, Kiril returns with a talk about Angular Signal Forms ⚡ Forms are one of those parts of an app that look simple at first, until validation grows, business logic sneaks in, and suddenly everything becomes harder to maintain. Kiril will talk about how Signal Forms can help us build cleaner and more understandable Angular applications, how they compare to Reactive Forms, where they shine, and where we still need to be careful. A practical session for Angular developers who want less chaos in their forms and more joy in their code 😄 📅 September 19 | Skopje 🎟️ Grab your ticket now: https://wts.sh/
