✨ Coming Home ✨ After a 23-year detour, WASC Leadership Camp is returning to where it all began: University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In 1961, the very first WASC Summer “Leadership Workshop”–known back then as “Leadershop”–was held at UW-Stevens Point. For more than forty years UWSP was camp ground zero for WASC’s leadership efforts, shaping generations of student leaders, advisors, and while creating lifelong connections. Even as camp journeyed to other locations in Wisconsin, the legacy and magic of those first four decades stayed with us. Today, we’re proud to share that WASC Summer Leadership Camp will return to UW-Stevens Point in 2026. From July 12-16, 2026, hundreds of student leaders from across the state will once again gather at UWSP for connection, growth, and the kind of leadership development that impacts lives long after camp ends. We’re proud to bring students back to a campus that has long been part of the WASC history—and to welcome new voices into that story. One week ago, we had the incredible opportunity to host our 13th Annual Student Leadership Day with the Milwaukee Bucks Inc., and the energy was unforgettable! 🏀 Over 900 student leaders came together for a day focused on leadership, resilience, and community. The experience kicked off at Fiserv Forum, where students heard from the one-and-only DJ Shawna Nicols of the Bucks, captured unforgettable on-court photos, and felt the excitement of being in an NBA arena. Thank you to Lior Kolton for working with us on this event! We then transitioned to Milwaukee Area Technical College's Downtown Campus for engaging breakout sessions, including: 🎓 A warm welcome from MATC Events & Admissions, Ebony (Sheree) Hagler, David Jackson, Aneisha Denson, M.Ed., & Ramiro Quintana R., M.Ed. 💭 A powerful leadership lesson from WASC Board Member Andy Gussert 👐 Interactive leadership activities designed to challenge and inspire 🎁 And, of course...Swag for all! The day wrapped up back at Fiserv Forum for the Bucks vs. Pistons game, where students brought incredible energy and were rewarded with a Bucks WIN! 🙌 We are incredibly thankful to our partners, speakers, and volunteers who made this experience possible. And of course, to the students (and their advisors!) who showed up ready to lead.
