We've been specifying UniFi enterprise gear on luxury residential and estate projects for years, and the partnership formalizes what was already a core part of our network stack. VIP Smart Homes is expanding, and we are looking for our very first dedicated Smart Home & A/V Integration Technician (Contract-to-Hire) to work directly with the founder. We design and maintain premium smart home systems for ultra-high-net-worth clients, and our standard demands absolute reliability and discretion. We can teach the tech, but we cannot teach character; we want a hard worker who is honest, punctual, and delivers white-glove service. We have zero tolerance for "BS artists," so if you haven't done something before, we expect you to say, "I haven't done this, but I'll figure it out." Because we build unified ecosystems rather than just installing gadgets, we need someone with hands-on experience (or a strong aptitude) with Lutron, Crestron, Control4, Ubiquiti/UniFi network and security systems, UniFi Protect, Ring, premium displays, projectors, and invisible or architectural audio. You will also need hands-on skills in low-voltage wiring, terminating, rack building, and safe mounting. This role is starting as a flexible 1099 contractor to gauge fit and workload with a competitive hourly rate, but for the right person, this is a ground-floor opportunity to transition into a permanent, full-time role working on luxury estates.
