About us
Trinity Student Managed Fund (Trinity SMF) is the first student managed fund in Irish history. It is comprised of a real-life equity portfolio with €720k+ AUM, managed by a team of committed undergraduate and postgraduate students under the guidance of an advisory board of investment industry experts. The primary aim of Trinity SMF is to provide Trinity students an unparalleled and self-sustaining educational resource which bestows upon them experience in business analysis, investing and risk management. In the fulfilment of this aim Trinity SMF will also seek to make a contribution to our community. Thus, while the majority of profits on investments will be reinvested to see the fund grow in perpetuity, a proportion will be donated to non-profit organisations through the Trinity Foundation. The fund is being capitalised through corporate sponsorships and tax-deductible donations from a group of founding patron individuals. All such donations are wholly set aside for investment activities. The Fund has access to institutional brokerage and research services through Davy Stockbrokers. Advice is received on auditing and taxation issues.

While I didn't attend Trinity College Dublin I have always admired the university, so it was a real privilege to speak on a panel of women in business hosted by the Trinity Student Managed Fund. The theme of the conversation centered around confidence in leadership and I was impressed at the thoughtful questions posed by the students. It was also fantastic to see the level of gender diversity in the room. Thank you very much Amelia Quinn, Sofia Meade and Aoibhín Murdoch for the kind invitation and also to my fellow panelist for such a great discussion on the evening Sinéad Mahon Arabella Bishop Nicky Dwyer Drobey. The future is in safe hands!! #investmentmanagement #confidence #womeninbusiness

In this week's episode of Better with Money, we spoke to financial planner CEO of the Trinity Student Managed Fund Senan Delargy, about how to get started investing. He outlines the basic rules of thumb he used when he began his experimentation. “I think the best place to start if you’re going to invest in a single company is if you’re on the Luas or the bus, look around you. Look at what products people are using.” 🎧 Listen to Better with Money wherever you get your podcasts https://lnkd.in/djMuNt-n
