TRAILAR is the leader is solar transport technology, with the mission to make your vehicle fleets greener in three simple steps: 1) We apply cutting-edge, ultra-thin solar panels onto the roofspace of existing or new vehicles and connect the panels to the vehicle battery. 2) The solar power generated is then used to power various on-board activities, and even a vehicle's tail lift. 3) This saves you 5 percent of diesel and 4 tonnes of CO2 emissions per vehicle each year! A trailer solution will be available in 2019. Research & Development into other vehicles types is ongoing. How long do the solar modules last? They will not need replacing during the lifetime of the vehicle. How much do the solar modules weigh? Just 2kg per square meter! They will have no impact on the overall vehicle load capacity. What if it’s not sunny? The solar modules work in any natural light and are designed to absorb and generate maximum energy as quickly and efficientlyas possible. How often do you need to clean the solar modules? This depends on the vehicle location: less cleaning in wet conditions, more frequent cleaning in drier, dustier conditions. Can the solar modules be stolen? Once they are fitted, they are not visible from the ground. Also, they cannot be removed without damaging them. Can I buy the kit and install it myself? Yes, you can purchase the complete system with fitting instructions.

    TRAILAR partners with Flix to enhance use of solar power in long-distance coach travel. The partnership follows four years of successful pilots integrating TRAILAR’s solar technology into the Flixbus fleet.  Designed specifically for road transport, the TRAILAR Solar Solution has proven to reduce vehicle fuel consumption by 650 to 1,040 litres and reduce CO2 emissions by 1.7 to 2.8 tonnes per vehicle, per annum. The pilot buses with solar panels observed a decrease in relative fuel consumption by 4.5%. 💪 Find out more here ➡️ http://bit.ly/4mxJViS
