🌡️ Temperature tells you more than you think A rising temperature in stored grain is something you should take seriously. It can be an early sign of increased biological activity and the beginning of quality deterioration. Keep an extra eye on: • The top of the silo • Batches that were stored at a higher temperature • Grain that has been stored for a long time By monitoring temperature changes regularly, you can detect problems early and avoid unnecessary losses. 👉 How do you handle it today? Do you have temperature monitoring in all silos, or do you check manually?

☀️ Spring sun on the silo? Carry out an extra inspection round. As the sun begins to warm the silo walls and roof, the risk of temperature differences within the stored material increases. This can lead to moisture migration and condensation in the upper part of the silo. Make sure to check: - the temperature at the top of your storage bin or silo - any signs of condensation or re-moistening - manholes, penetrations, and other openings where water could enter Small deviations detected early are often much easier to address than problems discovered during unloading.
